Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce

Founded in 1861, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) is the

oldest and largest business organisation in Hong Kong, with around 4,000

members comprising of multinational companies, Mainland Chinese companies,

and Hong Kong companies.

Our loyalties lie with our members, acting as their voice in advising the SAR

Government on matters affecting businesses and the economy, providing

members with business information and opportunities, and facilitating networking

through a variety of Chamber activities. We take a strong role in promoting Hong

Kong as an international business centre in the heart of Asia. The Chamber acts

as an international bridge, connecting Hong Kong business with Mainland China

and the rest of the world.

Neville Shroff is the Chairman and CEO of Shroff and Company Ltd, a HK based

trading company providing services in sourcing, quality control, logistics and

shipping in various commodities with its main market in Europe, USA, and the

Middle East.

After obtaining his Science degree at the University of Sheffield, he acquired his

MBA from the University of Warwick. Mr Shroff is an active member within the

Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, being the Chairman of the Europe

Committee and Vice Chairman of Asia and Africa Committee. He is also the

President of the Zoroastrian Charity Funds of Hong Kong, Canton and Macau.

Shroff & Co Ltd is a family business, established in 1950. The company has two

joint venture manufacturing plants in China, and an office in Ningbo. It has

associate offices in London and New York. The company’s core activity business

is trading and manufacturing in Household Kitchenware products. Another division,

serves are comprehensive and wide spectrum of consumer items. The company

supplies to importers, retailers and distributors around the world, but

predominantly in USA, Europe and the Middle East. The company subsidiaries are

engaged in the export of branded fashion items and investment.

Mr Weatherseed was appointed a partner in 1989 and was seconded to Hong

Kong to oversee the Asia Pacific operations of the international firm. From 1992 to

2005 he remained in Hong Kong as a partner in the Hong Kong firm.

Mr Weatherseed returned to the UK in 2005 as managing partner in a UK office of

the international firm, but in 2011 he took up a position with Mazars in Hong Kong

with a focus on audit, corporate finance and litigation support, and where he is

also Managing Partner of Mazars. Stephen is also Chairman and non-executive

director of AiM listed LED International Limited, a China based business focused

on energy management.

Company Profile

The Spanish Chamber in Hong Kong is a local non-profit organization, established

in 1991 as the Spanish Business Association. It became the first Spanish

Chamber in China in 1999. Membership has increased steadily to 200 members,

500 Membership Card holders and a database of over 3,500 contacts from

different industries in Hong Kong, China, Spain and Latin America.

The objective of the Chamber is to serve our members and increase the presence

in the market of companies, products and professionals from Spain as well as

increase and promote bilateral relationships between Spain and Hong Kong.

As one of the most active chambers in Hong Kong, we regularly organize business,

social, and gastronomic events including seminars, luncheons, business

presentations, happy hours, wine tastings, gastronomic promotions, etc. These

activities are introduced to more than 3,500 contacts in different industries through

our different communication channels.

Mr Ballesteros holds an honours degree in Economics by the University of

Stirling in Scotland and a Masters degree in Commerce by the Centro de

Estudios Economicos y Comerciales (CECO) in Madrid, Spain. With 10 years of

experience in Asia, Mr Ballesteros has worked in both the public and the private

sectors and was the Founder and Director his own consulting firm for 8 years

until he joined the Chamber as Secretary General in 2014.

Mr Ian Grant Robinson, CPA has been the sole Owner and Managing Director of

Robinson Management Limited since 1995. Mr. Robinson has over 45 years of

experience as a Chartered Accountant. He was managing partner with Arthur

Young from 1965 in Canberra, and from 1980 he was Senior Partner in charge of

(manufacturer of tool boxes and office’s cabinets) Currently, Mr Robinson is a

Board Member and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Hong Kong Housing

Society. He also acts as a Director and/or member of Private Companies

including the Australian Packer Group. Since 1962, Mr. Robinson has held a

CPA designation and is now a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
