Hennes & Mauritz AB (212-564-9922) plans to open H&M stores nationwide and internationally this year as part of a plan to operate 2,000 locations by year’s end. The company currently operates 1,900 stores, offering trendy fashion apparel for men and women, internationally throughout 35 countries, including 189 units in the U.S.

The Sherwin-Williams Co. (216-566-2000) will open a 4,500 sq.ft. Sherwin-Williams paint store along West Washington Street in Sequim, WA during April as part of a plan to open 50 stores this year. The planned openings for this year are down from the company’s typical schedule of 100 openings annually. The company currently operates 3,340 stores nationwide, including 43 throughout the Seattle, WA metropolitan area.

Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc. (313-983-6000) plans to open a Little Caesars Pizza location along North Bend Road in Monfort Heights, OH. The pizzeria will occupy a space of 1,000 sq.ft. in a 2,000 sq.ft. center being constructed at the site of a former Rally’s. Construction is slated for completion during the late spring or early summer.

Whole Foods Markets, Inc. (512-477-4455) will open a 45,075 sq.ft. Whole Foods Market along Hydraulic Road in Charlottesville, VA during June 2011. The supermarket, originally planned to be 66,600 sq.ft. and feature a three-tier parking deck but, was reduced in size due to the economy and will replace an existing store located along U.S. 29 in Albemarle County, VA.

Shoe Show, Inc. (704-782-4143) will open a 25,000 sq.ft. Encore Shoes store in a former Steve & Barry’s site at Honey Creek Mall in Terre Haute, IN later this month. The company currently operates 1,111 stores nationwide throughout 36 states under the Shoe Show, Shoe Dept. and Burlington Shoes trade names, including a Shoe Dept. location along State Road 46 in Terre Haute.

The Proctor & Gamble Co. (513-983-1100) may open The Art of Shaving stores nationwide as part of a plan to operate between 100 and 140 stores throughout the U.S. The company may also expand the concept internationally. The company, which acquired the 40-unit chain during June 2009, is redesigning existing locations to feature new color schemes and floor plans.

Firehouse Restaurant Group, Inc. (904-886-8300) plans to open 70 Firehouse Subs restaurants this year as part of a plan to eventually operate 3,500 locations nationwide. The company currently operates 375 sandwich shops throughout 19 states and recently announced plans to eventually operate 28 stores in Indianapolis, IN and 125 in Chicago, IL.

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. (757-321-5000) will open a 10,000 sq.ft. Dollar Tree in a portion of a former A&P Supermarket located in Dennis Port, MA later this month. The store will offer party, seasonal, health and beauty and food and snack products all priced at $1.

Tasti D-Lite, LLC (615-550-3012), through a franchisee, plans to open 40 Tasti D-Lite frozen dessert shops throughout AZ during the next 10 years and, through franchisees nationwide, plans to open between 50 and 75 stores nationwide by 2011. The stores offer more than 100 flavors of soft serve desserts. The company introduced its franchise model during 2009 and has since converted many of its company stores to franchise locations.

United Commercial Realty is selling a 1.17-acre outlot of a Walmart Supercenter located along North Fry Road in Katy, TX. The asking price is $1.25 million. The company is also selling a 14.42-acre parcel adjacent to a Walmart Supercenter located along East FM 3040 in Lewisville, TX. The asking price is $1.9 million. The company is also selling outlots of 0.93 acres and 1.21 acres of a Walmart Supercenter located along Estes Parkway in Longview, TX. The asking prices are $400,000 for the smaller parcel and $550,000 for the larger parcel.
