Dead-on accuracy: there’s no substitute for it. That unflinching focus is mirrored in our responsiveness and ability to meet customer requirements. Yet, it’s our visionary thinking and professional customer support that distinguish Fox Valley Metal-Tech.

We craft custom stainless steel, aluminum, and steel parts and fabrications with big-picture project awareness. It’s our job to understand the demands our customers face and deliver a cost-effective, customized solution that meets those demands.

We thrive on challenges. And, we live for creating precise work that makes our customers successful.

“… from the most complex of weldments to the simplest of assemblies, [they] produce closely toleranced items with speed and accuracy, as well as provide certification of conformance to our specifications … [Their] knowledge of material behaviors and properties allows them to reduce waste and minimize development time for all types of products.”

Collin Hale Project Supply Chain Manager Enercon Engineering

Your success is our successOur customers’ needs are primary. As requirements grow and change, so must our skills and workmanship, always measuring our effectiveness by your satisfaction. Here are three ways we get there:

The right equipment — better results are born from modern technologies: state-of-the-art equipment such as lasers and ultrahigh pressure waterjet cutting systems, a high-speed CNC punch press, precision press brakes, robotic welding, and machining centers with wireless intuitive probing systems.

The right processes — proven procedures and techniques and thorough inspections allow for quick turnaround and unmatched accuracy; our quality management system meets ISO 9001-2008 Standards.

The right people — technically progressive and experienced, our people consider the entire project scope before work begins and add value and insight on every project.

20+ years of success and growthOur company vision started in 1989. Provide world-class manufacturing services on time and on budget that exceed customers’ requirements. That quality reputation is now forged.

Fox Valley Metal-Tech provides quick response, uses modern equipment, employs talented craftsmen, and strives for continuous improvement. The effort hasn’t gone unnoticed, including nominations for Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year, a Presidential visit in 2006, and Federal Supplier of the Year Award in 2010.

The latest technology in the right hands

Modern equipment can perform to levels unachievable in years past. Because of our focus on continuous improvement, we’ve invested in the latest equipment to meet our customers’ demands. But, it’s really the skilled Fox Valley Metal-Tech craftsmen who make the results so impressive.

Laser Cutting— Automated loading of materials with up to 44,000 lbs of throughput, 91 shelves of stored materials, two 4000-watt lasers with cutting speeds of 500 inches per minute that allow for running two different materials simultaneously, integrated CNC programs with internal network, cutting capabilities up to 1”-thick mild steel, 3/4”-thick stainless steel, and 5/16”-thick aluminum, accuracies to 0.003 inches.

Dynamic Waterjet — Incredible accuracy at extremely high cutting speeds means a low cost-per-part for customers. It handles any material, thick or thin, delivering a burr-free edge, no heat-affected zone, and no taper effect. All up to 400% faster than traditional flat-plate cutting.

High-Speed Hydraulic Turret Punch Press — Advanced tooling design allows for fast, high-quality forming. Punch rates to 520 hits per minute are achieved through highly responsive, servo-controlled hydraulic ram and high-speed table positioning at rates of 3,229 inches per minute. Accuracy of 0.004 inches and repeatability of 0.001 inches.

Pem Inserter — Fully hydraulic with PLC electrical controls and 24-inch throat depth, this inserter features revolutionary touch-screen interface with InsertionLogin® fastener software.

Welding — Multiple welding work stations combine with modular fixture systems and custom jigs to meet customer needs; certified welding procedures to American Welding Standards and 278/248 Military Standards for steel, aluminum, and stainless steel; 30 TIG welders, 22 Wire MIG welders, 2 Stud welders, 1 spot welder.

Press Brakes — Capacities of 242 tons and maximum length of 170 inches using CNC programmable hydraulic press brakes plus high-precision, all-electric servo-driven ram press brakes with automatic material thickness compensation and repeatability to 1 micron (0.000039 inches) ram position accuracy.

Cold Saws and Band Saw — Cold saws with up to 12-inch diameter cutting capacityand vertical band saw with cutting capacity of 18 inches by 20 inches.

Machining Centers — Partnered with Haas Automation, the largest machine builderin the Western Hemisphere: Vertical Machine Centers with maximum capacity of 84” x 32” x 30” (X,Y,Z Travel), multiple machines outfitted with wireless intuitive probing system, high-pressure 1000 psi through spindle coolant system, high-torque 10,000 rpm spindle, integrated tool changer capacity of 40 tools, 4th axis indexer, and 3D model programming software.

Shears — Maximum shearing length of 158 inches, 3/4”-thick aluminum, 1/2”-thick steel, and 3/8”-thick stainless steel.

Robotic Welding — Six axis, wire-fed MIG welding robot with large work envelope(71.3 inches of reach), 300-degree range of movement, and high-speed axis travel of 40 inches per second.

Finishing Equipment — The finishing touches to your jobare completed using the appropriate methods including vibratory tumbling, hand finishing, bead blasting, or our SteelMaster Deburring and Graining machine.

Inspection — We validate our customers tolerance requirementsusing our Brown & Sharp CMM, Faro Platinum Arm systems, and fully outfitted inspection department in an environmentally controlled room.

“[They] provided quality precision manufacturing services … customer support … and manufacturing expertise to ensure our requirements were met on the very first enclosure that was delivered. The results have saved [us] time and resources in assembling and testing our equipment.”

Precision from top to bottomDoing things right the first time, every time, is our goal on every project. It’s a level of dedication on which the business was built, and it has driven steady growth since 1989. What we do and how we do it continues to improve as customer demands grow. Simply put, our capabilities and workmanship must meet customer requirements, whether that’s manufacturing a basic part or fabricating a complex weldment requiring procedures that meet AWS and military standards. Not only are we committed to doing the job right the first time but we deliver on time, complete, and at a fair price.

Our commitment to safety mirrors our focus on perfection. Great work comes from safe work environments, which are expressed in safety policies and guidelines, maintained by responsible employees, and ensured by internal safety audits.

Fox Valley Metal-Tech’s solid reputation is built on a combination of two forces: powerful communication that provides quick response in a fast-paced environment; and dedication to quality, including meeting the requirements of the ISO 9001-2008 Standard. Doing business with us may be unlike any other business relationship you’ve experienced. It’s precise, eye-opening, and most of all … rewarding.

Typically, “job shops” handle low-volume, custom orders that are turned around quickly. But, what do you call a job shop that does that and then adds the unexpected: big-picture project awareness, superior quality processes, customer responsiveness, true partnership, and unmatched passion?

Fox Valley Metal-Tech is that rare hybrid, delivering stainless steel, aluminum, and steel parts and fabrications with impressive added value: the thinking of experienced professionals who consider the entire project scope before work begins. It’s our job to understand the demands our customers face and deliver a quality, customized solution, not just a piece of metal.

Partner with a “job shop” that’s redefining the term and leading the industry.
