Skills : Say and use the number names in familiar contexts.

Learning Objectives : Pupils will be taught to say and use the number names in familiar contexts.

Learning Outcomes : By the end of lessons pupils should be able to;

i) Say the number names 1 to 9

ii) Recognize numerals 1 to 9

iii) Spell numbers word

iv) Counting pictures or objects

Moral values : i) Cleanliness

We must wash hand, brush teeth every day and wear clean clothes.

Teaching aids : Laptop (Power Point), flash card, worksheet and song of “I have 2 hands”

Vocabulary : count, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, left, right and hands

Teacher asks pupils regarding their age,

body parts, house numbers, telephone

numbers and family siblings.

e.g: How old are you?

An expected response would be:

I am 7 years old.

Introduce pupils about numbers 1 to 9.

Teacher says the number and pupils

repeat the numbers loud and clear
