L 1 LEVEL 1 FOCUS: MOVEMENT, REGULATION AND SENSORY SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND INTERACTIONS Throughout the Level 1 certification process, you will learn about the following topics: Characteristics of infant and child development transitions related to regulation, movement, and sensory system integration complexity. Characteristics and phases of fetal movement development. Pregnancy and birth challenges which challenge subsequent regulation and movement development. Complex attributes of lymphatic system function related to regulation and movement. Considerations for head trauma effects on overall regulation, movement, and sensory integration. PROGRAM COMPONENTS (LEVEL 1) Bridging appears simple but has roots in the complexities of movement development. The richness of this understanding is the focus of the Level 1 certification. To support you throughout this process and help ensure your success, you will take part in weekly mentor-led group chats and periodic seminars to expand knowledge depth. Education on the Bridging technique will be delivered through academic discussions, observation, practice, and experiential learning, as follows: 1. Unsupervised Practice Hours documented on a log sheet. (100 hours). 2. Supervised Internship with guided discussions and feedback. (50 hours). 3. Seminars designed to provide more in-depth knowledge of the developmental schema upon which Bridging is based. (Five, three-hour seminars). 4. Learning Circle: 20 weekly guided group discussions with mentor (20-minute conference call or video chat). 5. Bridging Quarterly Meeting participation (two required). 6. Case Study (guidelines will be provided). 7. Skill and Knowledge Tests—written and practical. 8. Personal Sessions with Bridging Level 2 Master (two sessions) required. DETAILS AND LOGISTICS OF INTERNSHIP Internship hours must be scheduled in advance with Kinetic Konnections Team or other affiliated Bridging Level 2 Master. Hours to be completed over a period of 6 (min) - 15 (max) months. Feedback discussions will be scheduled following every 5-10 hours for a total of 5 hours feedback. (continued on page 2) The Kinetic Bridging ® technique, developed and taught by Fully Fit Lifestyles, Inc. d/b/a Kinetic Konnections, is a simple yet powerful way to assess stability and restore movement to individuals of all ages. The hierarchy of movement follows the LIMBB (Lindell Integrated Movement Building Blocks) Chart, and the technique uses a series of subtle passive stretches, wiggles and bounces to resynchronize regulation between various body systems. The fundamentals of Bridging are simple for most adults to learn. Complex personal history (trauma, injury, illness or unusual birth) require more training and experience. There are currently two certification levels (“Level 1” and “Level 2”). Each level requires completion of practical experience, internship experience, and mastery of knowledge demonstrated through a written case study and satisfactory completion of written and practical tests. 900 Skokie Blvd., Ste 205 Northbrook, IL 60062 847.390.8348 www.KineticKonnections.com ©2018 Fully Fit Lifestyles, Inc.
