The idea was conceptualized after a church mass, which the priest encouraged the couples to build the company. With a loan and some savings on hand, the couples started out selling tocino within the neighborhood and at the nearby palengke (public market).

The couples, especially the Nicolas, had a hand in the business - from making the tocino and longganisa, and selling it door to door. At daybreak the Nicolas couple would be up doing the responsibilities of preparing the products and would be ready to deliver the cold cuts to the market. This would become a daily couple routine of hard work and responsibility from the late 2010 through the early 2011.

During this period, the cold cut enterprise started to flourish, becoming a full-blown partnership business that allowed the three couples to produce 5 different cold cut products regularly during weekends. Three years later, the processing venture expanded into big municipal meat processing plant, ushering the stable stand of La Paz Primefoods, that distributes its products to the following business and Hospitals: Henlin, Minute Burger, St.Lukes (Quezon), and UST Hospital. Abstract

In recent years, food-processing companies have expressed their dominance in turning municipalities into cities, and alarm about the growing problem of the economy of provinces in the country, which is unemployment and lack of revenue, or in other words the slow economic growth. While most agree that the issue deserves attention, the concurrence dissolves around how to respond to the problem. The paper examines one approach to treating the problems in municipalities or towns: the process of industrialization specifically creating food-processing companies. The paper shows a recent established company in the municipality of La Paz, Tarlac that promises to generate jobs to fellow La Pazeo or LaPazenians and train them further to be competent and self sufficient individuals. The examination of food-processing companies for unemployment, points out what lies ahead of the town whether or not progress will show or not.
