Introduction

The licensure examination is one of the last hurdles that a candidate must face in the licensing process. A board has the ultimate responsibility to ensure that the examination meets technical, professional, and legal standards, and, protects the health, safety and welfare of the public by assessing candidates abilities to practice competently. Once a candidate has passed a licensing examination, the board must be comfortable granting the license, thus assuring the public that the licensee is minimally qualified to practice at the time of initial licensure."In everything you do there is always a step by step procedure to be done ". In related to this phrase the researchers want to compare the strategies and preparation of graduating students of BS Accountancy, Engineering, Nursing, and Teacher Education who shall take the licensure examination on how they will they obtain to pass the exam.Education is the key to success. A person is studying because they know that this is the first step to fulfill their goals in life. Being Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Engineer, Nurse, and Teacher are some of the profession that every individual dream. Strategies and preparations are very much important most especially in taking the licensure/board examination because the future career of the examinee/student will depend on the result of the exam.

Conceptual Framework Graduating students who shall take the licensure exam have different strategies and preparation for them to have better result. The researchers want to compare their strategies to further understand why specific courses gain the highest passing rate. The table below will picture out what will be the possible result of the study in the future.

Scope and Delimitation

The focus of this study was to know the strategies and preparation of graduating students of BS Accountancy, Engineering, nursing, and Teacher Education of Colegio de Dagupan. The study will be conducted at Colegio de Dagupan prior to the graduating students that will take the licensure exam who are enrolled in the second semester of the A.Y 2013- 2014. This study is started on November 2013 and will be ended and submitted on March 2014.

Significance of the StudyGraduating Students Graduating Students who shall take the licensure exam is very much benefited with this kind of study, because they will be aware of what are the strategies and preparation should be done in order to pass the licensure exam.

Students Just for example, BS Accountancy gained the highest passing rate during the licensure exam some the students who us taking BS Accountancy will be inspired and look for the strategies and preparation done in the previous years. The same through with the students of Engineering, nursing and Teacher Education.

Teachers With this research they would be inspire to teach more because as an instructor they know that they play a big role in try end life of a graduating student that will take the licensure exam. The failure of the student is also their failure and their victory is also their victory. Definition of Terms1. Licensure Exam. This is an examination whereby graduates should take and passed for them to get their license as professionals. This is also known as Board Exam.

2. Strategies. This is plans or method that should be done to have better result.

3. Passing Rate. It is the number of graduates who passed the licensure exam in related to the no. of examinees.

4. Certified Public Accountant Those are BS Accountancy graduate who passed the licensure exam is called Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

5. Comparative. Act of comparing, specially the graduates of different courses who will be taking the licensure exam.
