We have 4 weeks left till the end of Term 2 which is a notorious time for coughs and colds amongst students and staff. In light of COVID-19 it’s as important as ever to keep your children at home if they are showing any signs of respiratory illness and to get tested if symptoms persist. There is a COVID-19 clinic at Canowindra Hospital from 9-10am. The last 2 weeks of this term we will be holding 3 Way interviews (parent, student, teacher) for all classes. Bookings for these will be via our Sentral Parent Portal - https://canowindraps.sentral. com.au/portal/login The portal will be open from today until Friday 19th July. Kindergarten parents and all new families will be sent a separate email with login details as they haven’t haven’t accessed the portal before. We are able to conduct interviews as parents are not gathering in large groups and social distancing will be adhered to. If you feel uncomfortable meeting face to face please book in your time via Sentral then contact the school to arrange a meeting over the phone or via Zoom. 1/2L have had lots of fun engaging in different hands-on maths activities. One day, we made objects using MAB blocks. We counted how many tens and ones blocks we used and then wrote down the number we made. Here are some pictures of our creations!

This activity helped us to deepen our understanding of place value (MA1-4NA).
