Students create a skeleton and use split pins to make moveable joints.

• Painting Do you have a weird friend like Sheri? Paint a picture of them.

• Decorate a tote bag.• Use fabric paint, add

buttons, feathers and beads to make the bag original.

• Decorative wrist bands.

On a piece of wide black elastic 16cm long, sew a selection of buttons. Use dimensional paint to add decoration. Join the band with a button.

• Photography. Take digital photos of birds. Print in black and white. Discuss light and shade. Students draw using different mediums.

a shape of a camel.• Cover the wire in alfoil

to make it stable and mount on a piece of polystyrene foam.

• Draw the class pet or a picture of Rex., with Wax crayon.

• Paint with water paints. Sprinkle water on the top so the colours run.

• Printing. Create a mono print of the flower shop. Colour with water paint.

• Painting. Collect pictures of chairs, enlarge them and paint a picture of your pet sitting on the chair.

• Study the work of artists and the way they depict their chairs.

• Sculpture. Create a chair using balsa wood pins and PVA.

• Plasticine picture.• Provide students with coloured plasticine

and a thick piece of cardboard. Students create a creature they they would like to have and call their own.

• Sculpture. Discuss body parts, 4 legs, a head, tail, etc. Students construct a rocking horse from polystyrene and pop sticks.

• Who is the artist depicted in the story?

• If possible bring in a live rabbit for the students to draw. Provide students with a variety of materials. Emphasis the texture if the fur and how it can be represented with line.

• Look at Durer’s prints. Create a mono print of a rhinoceros.

in pictures of places that they have visited with their families.

• Experiment with the chalk pastels.

• Draw on black and white paper.

• Painting. Crayon and wash.

• Sculpture.• Use coloured plasticine to

create a creature.

and place him in a box.

plasticine onto a piece of thick cardboard.

• Use a pencil or stick to draw an animal. Apply ink with a roller and print.

• Create backgrounds by mono printing.
