ElectricconnectionFor 3 phaseAC -motors:Checkwhetherterminallinksarefittedtosuittypeofmotorandpowersupply(jig.1).ConnectwiresR-S-T toterminalpinsV,-V,-W,(jig.2).forflameproofenclosureat clip-onterminals.Porsingle- phaseorDC- motorsseeinstructionsin terminalcompartment.Connectcontrolwiresaccordingtowiringdiagram.Te'rminalplanisinsidetheterminalcompartment.

    Note:Thetwocircuitsofeachswitch(jig.3)aresuitableonlyfor thesamepotential.

    ,2. Removecoveratswitchcompartment(jig.4).Valvecompletelyclosed:WSRtripped

    Checkwhetherlimit-switchhastripped(jig.5).Valvecompletelyopened:WOLtripped

    3. Engagemanualdrive :Pushdeclutchleverasindicatedbyarrow(jig.6).Ifresistanceisfelt. turnhandwheelslowlywhileleveris pressedtill manualdriveengages.. -:".

    4. Operatevalvetointermediatepositionmanually(jig.7).DirectionOPEN~ ) turn handwheelanti-clockwise.DirectionCLOSED(:I:) turnhandwheelclockwise.Switchcamat:I: (Z)or::: (0)shouldrotate900andreleasetheswitch(jig.8). if setproperly.

    5. EnsuresealingfacesatcontrolplugarecleanandcheckwhetherO-ringisok.applythinfilmofnon-acidgreasetosealingfaces.thenreplaceplugcover(jig.9). 3

  • 6. Connectto mains.Switch on motormomentarily.Manual drive will be disengagedautomatically.Checkdirectionof rotation(fig. 10),observingarrows at limit switch countergear (fig. 11).

    Ifincorrect, stopimmediatelyand changesenseof rotation (if 3 phaseAC-motor,exchangeany twophases).

    7. Start actuatorin OPEN directionand switchoff bymanually tripping limit switch WOL(fig. 12).

    8. Start actuator in CLOSED direction and switch off by manuallytripping torque switch DSR. Tipswitch operatinglever easily only! (fig. 13).For actuators with doubletorqueswitch checkOPE'Ndirectionin thesameway. . .

    9. For positionseatedclosing:Start actuatorin CLOSEDdirectionandswitch off bymanually trippinglimit switch WSR(fig. 14).

    10. If actuatordoesnot stopcheckconnectionof terminalsand thecontrolwiring.

    11. Determineover-runofactuatorin bothdirectionsbyvisual inspection(amountofadditional rotationof spindle or valvemovementafter actuatoris switchedoff).

    12. Engage manualdrive and operateactuator to fully closedposition (fig. 15), while observingtheswitch camfor limit switch WSR.' ,.For position seating: Whentheswitchhas tripped(fig. 16)continueturning hand~heeltothefinal

    position and checkwhethertheremainingtravel correspondsto theover-run. If not, reset tosuit. seepoint 14.

    For torqueseating: Limit switch WSR must trip shortly beforereaching end-position CLOSED(fig. 16).

    13. Operateactuatormanually toOPEN-position(fig. 17).Checkin thesameway as describedaboveforposition seating,seepoint 12(fig. 18).

Resettinglimit-switching:Operatevalveawayfromend-positiontoaccountfor over-runor tothedesiredswitchtrippingpoint.PushthrustboltI inwardsandturn(fig.19).Theboltremainsin thisposition.ForCLOSEDpositionturnspindlemarked:: (Z).(jorOPENpositionspindlemarked::: .0)slowlyasindicatedbyarrow(fig.19).Distinct"clicks"canbefelt andheard.Continueturningthespindleuntilthecamoperatestheswitch.At thisstagethespindleshouldnot"click"anymoreandshouldnotbeturnedanyfurther. ..'Ifinadvertentlyyouoverridethetrippingpoint.continueturningthespindleslowlyin thesamedirectiontill the'switchcamgoesbacktoits originalposition.Repeatsettinginstructionsasabovedescribed. . .TurnthrustboltI till it snapsbackintoitsoriginalpositionbysprin!jaction.

    15. TorquesWitching(fig.20).If theactuatoris switchedoffbytorqueswitchoveritstravelbeforereachinganend-positionpleasecheckwhetherthevalvestemis damagedor dirtadheringtoit. If necessary,andwiththevalvemaker'sconsent,thesettingof thetrippingtorquemayberaisedslightly.

    16. Setting:figuresonthetorqueswitchoperatingcamindicatethevalvesin Nm(1mkp.. 10Nm.Ilbsft. =1.36Nm).Loosenscrewandturnthecamtill thedesiredtorquecoincideswiththearrowmark.thenfastenlock-screw.

    17. lp1m~diatelyafterstart-up:Ensuresealingfacesatcoverandhousingareclean.Checkwhether0-ringis correctlyinpositionandapplya thinfilm ofnon-acidgrease.Replace.th~coverandfastenwith4 screws(fig.21).

    19. Mechanicalpositionindicator:Thetwodialshaveaslipclutchfor easyadjustment.At valvefullyclosedturndi(ll + (CLOSlJ7J)till thearrowis in alignmentwiththemarkon theshowglass.Operatevalveintofully OPENpositionandadjustdialmarked+ (OPEN)till thearrowmarkis inalignmentwiththemarkonthecover.

    Note:Thedial +(CLOSED)mustbeheldinpositionwhileadjustingdial '+ (OPEN),(fig.22).

    20, Electricpositiontransmitter

    Throughareductiongearing(selectedtosuitturnsrequiredbyvalvetravel)apotentiometerwill bedriven.A suitablepowersupplyunitsuppliesa lowvoltagecurrent.Thevalvepositioncanbereadona remoteinstrumentwitha percentagescale.

    21. Setting '::Operatevalveto thefully CLOSEDposition(=0%).Setpotentiometerto its startingpositionbyturningthewiper'),whichhasa slipclutch(fig.23).

    Adjustthepositionmeterto zeroby trimmingpotentiometerin thepowersupplyunit (fig.24).Operatevalvetothefully OPENposition(=100%).Adjustthepositionmetertomax.rangewiththehelpofthetrimmingpotentiometerin thepowersupplyunit(fig.24).Checkindicationfor bothendpositions.If required,makeslightre-adjustment. . .
