The poster of Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ album fits the pop genre conventions and also appeals to the audience which is young females. The poster is colourful, girly and bright. There is also an eye catching image of the artist (Katy Perry).

At the bottom of the poster, there’s a release date, names of her singles that was released from the album. All of this is to attract a larger audience because they will buy the album. The name of the album is written in bold, white font which makes it stands out beside the image. Katy Perry’s name is also written on the right hand top corner of the album title in her signature font.

She is also naked covered in pink fluffy clouds which shows how sexualised she is. The colour of the CD is pink and blue which represents her feminine and youthful side. This image stands out as it draws the audience attention.

The design of the CD also reflects Katy Perry as her pop genre is quite feminine and fun to the whole idea of ‘candy land’ theme. However, her track lists are in capital letters so it’s easy to read and they are replaced by ‘O’ with white and red candy. All of these ideas reflect to her songs.

The teenage dream digipak promotes the artist as she is on the front cover so the audience can immediately identity her with her name above her. She is also represented in seductive way in order to grab the attention of males so that she can reach a wider audience.
