Can you believe it that schools is already around the corner? No more endless hours of watching Netfix. Those hours will be replaced by hitting the books, and for some of

us: college applications.

I cannot even begin to express how excited I am for this new term and how incredibly impressed I am with how much service has been done over the summer. I want to ex-

press a special thank you to the officers that have been working hard for all of the members these past few months. They have spent their summer receiving training, re-

viewing goals, and planning for the year! Improvement can be seen in all areas of the division. I want to thank YOU for being absolutely amazing this summer. It has been

great to grow with and meet each of you. I also want to let you know that our Region Advisor, Ms. Grover, recently became Mrs. Devoe! I wish them many happy years!

Special Congratulations to India for eliminating Maternal Neonatal Tetanus in June! Remember that it only takes $1.80 to save a mother and all of her future children. This is

the last year that Key Club International will be helping fund raise for UNICEF's Eliminate Project.

Please don't forget that this newsletter takes time to create. Division Newsletter Editor Amara is doing a fabulous job to continue to improve our newsletters. Don't forget to

share the newsletter with the members you serve so that they can see what is happening as well!

Rodriguez Bake Sale

On July 12th, Rodriguez Key Club held a bake sale to

support the Pediatric Trauma Program. We raised about

$100 in four hours and sold most of our baked goods! We

had a range of cake, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and

more. Many people were very generous and left donations

that we know will make a difference.

Benicia Farmers Market

The Benicia Farmers Mar-

ket was a great success! Many

of the Division Leadership

Team and I spent the day ex-

plaining the cause for the Pedi-

atric Trauma Program to oth-

ers attending the market while

selling body scrubs to raise

money for the cause. Despite

the hot weather and sometimes

slow business I am extremely

glad that we got to serve our

community by spreading the

word of a great cause.

OTC RECAPOTC RECAP

OTC was awesome, fun and educational. All of the presenta-tions were amaze- balls. Especially Jacks, his was the cutest cute in the history of cuties.

Pictured is the Division Leadership Team who worked to

make OTC possible and also to provide the members with

the best information for their terms!

OTC was amazing. I liked how we got into groups

(Presidents/VPs/Members, Secretaries, Treasurers) and got

advice for our positions, like how to organize yourself or how

to plan productively. The presentations given by our DLT

members also let us deeply learn more about Key Club and

advice on stress & public speaking. Since this is my first year

officially being an officer, I got a lot of information that I can

put to use to help our club strive higher and better.

OTC this year was amazing since we had so many clubs and new faces show up! I honestly have never seen so much en-thusiasm at an OTC such as this one. The booklet provided by the DLT was quite helpful and kept the officers focused on topics; it'll definitely be useful as a reference guide throughout the term. The icebreakers and love notes were re-freshing and a great way to make the event more lively. The snacks were a lovely accommodation. Overall, OTC help in-spire and provide education to all who attended. I cannot wait to see our division flourish.

Hello Ballers!

Summer went by fast, huh? Although the glamor and

freedom of summer is soon coming to an end I am more

than excited to start school and one of the busiest and most

fun times in the Key Club term! Get ready for club rushes,

socials, service, Fall Rally North, and even more as we dive

into the beginning of the school year! I can’t wait!

I am open to any criticism and critiques that you may

have! Please contact me so that together we can create a

great newsletter this term! Remember to send in those arti-

cles and visuals by the 10th of every month! Never stop

domin8ing.

With Love,

Amara Alcayde
