    SUMA HAS THE SOLUTION

SUMA offers a wide range of rod agitators and submersible mixers for management of liquids in steel and concrete tanks, lagoons and containers common in biogas plants, farming as well as industry and waste water management. Over the course of 60 years SUMA has developed systems for many types of applications, chemical environments and substrate properties.

Common to all SUMA designed rod mixers and submersible mixers is their modularity – you can combine a variety of motors with different types of propellers to ensure optimal and economic mixing of substrates with dry matter contents up to 16% - also in very aggressive fluids.

What sets us apart from other manufacturers in the industry is our focus on mixing. The key element for successful mixing operations is the shape of the propellers and their speed of rotation. We design our propellers in-house which then undergo a rigorous testing schedule with different motors and gears before being released in the field. Having our own test basin is essential for this evaluation.

Another strong advantage is our choice of innovative materials and designs for sealing and protecting the drive trains and moving parts from intrusion by unwanted liquids.

All our research and development results in extending the service life and maintenance intervals of our products. Highest quality standards are applied to all our processes resulting in products that are effective and economical. Our knowledge helps our customers improve their bottom line.

    When experience counts

With more than 60 years of experience designing and building agitators for biogas, farming and industrial use and more than 90,000 units installed worldwide we know to be experts at what we do. Before we release new products these undergo a meticulous theoretical and practical testing procedure. We utulize our own test basin to collect empirical data for improving our products.

    MOUNTING SYSTEM

SUMA designs and manufactures many different mounting and hoisting systems for submersible mixers for installation in gas tight tanks, open tanks, containers and lagoons.

Common to all systems is the ability to adjust the height and direction of the motor from the outside. This feature is especially important for gas tight applications.

Our guiding masts and winches are designed to raise the motor above fluid levels for easy maintenance. Standard material for those parts in contact with fluids is stainless 304. For more aggressive environments these components are available in stainless 316. All SUMA systems are suitable for steel and concrete tanks and all types of open and closed lagoons.

SUMA offers two different principles of installation of the hoisting systems: gas tight and open.

    Gas Tight Hoisting System MGD

    Technical Specifications MGD

    · Guide mast stainless 316: 4” x 4” | 6” x 6” · For tank heights up to 59‘ · Innovative gastight rope lead through · Cable management behind the mast with

cable clips and strain relief · Base mounting bracket in stainless 316 · Outside handwheel for lateral adjustment

    ± 105 degrees

    · Height adjustment via winch (max. load 1,900 lbs)

    · Options:

    · Height indicator for submerged mixer · Protractor for lateral setting

    SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE SYSTEM

The GDD was designed for installation on the (concrete) top of a gas tight tank and enables the operator to retract and service an OPTIMIX mixer without having to drain the tank. The system may be installed on solid concrete roofs, specially designed bridges and other structures capable of holding the combined weight of the gas tight housing and submersible mixer.

Gastight ceiling lead through (GDD) - installation on the tank roof

    Technical Specifications GDD

    · For tank heights up to 59‘ and concrete and other load bearing ceilings

    · Guide mast: 4“ x 4“ | 6“ x 6“ in stainless 316

    · Innovative gastight rope lead through · Height adjustment through stainless 304

rope winch (max. strain relief 1984 lbs) and stainless 316 rope Ø 0.3“

    · Height adjustment via winch (max. load 1,900 lbs)

    · Horizontal adjustment 360° · Height indication to determine the exact

height of the agitator within the tank · Inspection glass with rinsing unit · Servicebox:

    · Sealing plate 74“ x 42“ in 316 · Maintenance unit (Option):
