PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Our school Choirs and Instrumental group per-formed magnificently at the Wellington Eisteddfod last week. We were all delighted with the results that our school gained in the various sections in which our students were entered. Congratulations Mrs Helen Johnson and Mrs Joanne Blatch who spent many hours organising student groups, ar-ranging music and practicing with students.
Our school gained five FIRST places and a SECOND in the choir groups and two FIRST places in the instrumental sections. The adjudicator’s reports are on display in our school notice board.
To showcase our achievements there will be an Eisteddfod As-sembly held on Friday 27th August in our school library commencing at 9:00 am. All parents are invited to attend this assembly to listen to our talented students. The groups involved in the choirs were: Secondary Small Choir, Secondary Large Choir, Senior Girls Ensemble, Jun-ior Girls Ensemble, Year 5/6 Choir and the Com-bined Central School Choir. LIBRARY NEWS
Last week some overdue notices were sent home. We are aware that many of these books are returned very quickly and thank you all for that. However, some books have still not been returned and this may be for a variety of reasons.
Many of the children try to do the right thing and place the books straight onto the shelves. It is lovely that they are so tidy (I hope they are as good at home!) but all books need to be returned to the front desk so that they can be returned on the computer system. That way we can keep track of all the books in the li-brary.

Occasionally, books do go missing and although we are unhappy about that we also realise that these things can happen. An overdue notice can inform parents of this dilemma and enable them to help their child have a good look for the book and hopefully find it. Otherwise please come in and see me. I promise I won’t bite!
Finally, all primary children who wish to borrow need to bring a book bag to school. These help us to keep the books in good condition for everyone to enjoy, so please ensure that your children have a bag for library each week. Thank you once again for your assistance and I hope to see lots of books being bor-rowed each week. Annabel Gavin Relieving Librarian

MOLONG PLAYERS
This year the Yeoval community was lucky enough to receive two opportunities to cater for the Molong Players. One for the Yeoval Central School and one for the Yeoval Preschool.
This gave both organisations an opportunity to raise $2000 and a fantastic opportunity for our Hospitality students to do real catering jobs serving 200 people in a commercial kitchen. The students did a fantastic job at the events and need to be congratulated for their amazing effort.
The students include: Kia Cole, Jacob Harvey, Sarah Pickford, Hayden Devenish, Alex Morand, Sarah McCarthy, Ashleigh Taylor, Laura Johnson, Gemma Munce and Kathryn Horner. Some students will be pre-sented with a Citizenship Award at this week’s assembly.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who have helped with the fundraising efforts in the past couple of months for such events as the Molong Players, Quick Shear, Mulga Bill soup kitchen, bringing in ingredients or making cakes and slices for the Molong Players. Your efforts are really appreciated and without your support these events would not happen.
