Suitable to charge a tablet. The cooperation between A-Solar and Intivation has resultated in creating a powerful, highly versatile solar charger.

This module charges the battery 25 - 50% faster than the typical smartphone can consume it: fifteen minutes of charging gives you 20 minutes of talktime, 18m internet, or 23m video.

Smart Cell is a plug ‘n play solar module based on our state-of-the art SunBoost3 technology platform. This innovative package combines highperformance solar cells with the latest generation of Intivation’s award winning boost converter technology to provide a fully optimized plug-nplay solution to power a range of electronic devices using natural light.

SunBoost3 SmartCell is capable of charging any battery type as long as the end of charge voltage is below 5V. The SmartCell uses photovoltaic solar-cells with up to 22.6% efficiency.

Performance at low-light levels and with partial shading is superb. The integrated battery charging function can be configured to respect the charge requirements of any battery type. The battery will be protected from over charge, over discharge, over temperature and under temperature conditions. The smart cell is designed to have a quiescent current well below 2uA when it is not charging.

The smart cell is equipped with a high brightness LED to indicate the charging status. The led emits light flashes to give the user feedback about optimal positioning of his solar device, and about the battery status. The smart cell contains a programmable controller core and various general purpose I/o lines.This creates opportunities for integration and user specific functions. Three types of finishes are available: lacquer-only, lamination and potting.

NL – In 2011 heeft A-solar de Red Dot Design award gewonnen voor de Platinum Charger. In 2012 zullen onze producten uitgerust worden met hoogwaardige zonnecellen. Deze zonnecellen zullen voorzien worden met MPPT (maximum power point tracking). Dus ook wanneer er minder licht beschikbaar is, zijn onze producten sterk genoeg om te blijven opladen. Wij focussen ons behalve op de techniek, ook op het design van onze producten.

DE – Im Jahr 2011 hat A-solar den Red Dot Design Award für das Platinum Solar Ladegerät gewonnen. Im Jahr 2012 werden wir neue hochwertige Solarzellen in unsere Produkte integrieren. Diese werden mit MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking). Wenn weniger Licht zur Verfügung steht, werden unsere Produkte mit dieser Technologie schneller aufladen als je zu vor.
