She taught K-12 Art at Hartington Public 1980-1990 and Co- leridge Community 2001-2006, Middle School Art at Yankton Middle School 2006-2011 and Art & Family Consumer Sci- ence at Niobrara Public School 2012-2014. Her hobbies are sewing, cooking, garden- ing, art, reading and horseback riding. CHELSEA BROOKS Chelsea Brooks is teaching K-5 Re- source in Lincoln Elementary School. She is married to Seth Brooks. He was a Carpen- try instructor at Western Dakota Tech for 12 years. His hobbies are making smaller woodworking projects and making rings and bracelets from lilac wood. EMILY HARRIMAN Emily Harriman is teaching eighth- grade English Language Arts at Yankton Middle School. She is married to Shane Harriman and has one child, Mariah, 18 months. She received her Bachelor de- gree from the University of South Dakota in December 2009. She taught high school English/Spanish at Andes Central from 2010-2013 and MS English at Sacred Heart Middle School 2013-2014. She made the Dean’s List at USD. Her hobbies are going to the beach, camping, reading and spending time with family. She is a mem- ber of the South Dakota Education Associ- ation, National Education Association and National Council of Teachers of English. GINNY RAE MOSER Ginny Rae Moser is teaching Kinder- garten at Webster School. She is married to Nick Moser. She received her Bachelor degree at USD in the fall of 2005. She taught at Webster Elementary School in Yankton as a para-professional 2010-2011 and at Santee Community School second grade for two years and third grade for one year from 2011-2014. She was part of the Leadership Committee in Santee and made the Dean’s List in college. Her hob- bies are running, hiking, reading and going to the beach. She belongs to the Trinity Lutheran Church. SUSAN MUEHLBEIER Susan Muehlbeier is the Special Edu- cation teacher at Yankton High School. She is married with two children, ages 16 and 13. She received her Bachelor de- gree from Mount Marty College and re- ceived her Graduate degree from USD in May of this year. Her hobbies are read- ing, walking and camping. She is a part of Special Olympics Basketball volun- teer, South Dakota Education Associa- tion and National Education Association. HEATHER OLSON Heather Olson is the new assistant principal for the Middle School. She is married to Justin Olson and three chil- dren, Burkley, 6, Mathea, 3, and Oxford, 1. She received her Bachelor degree at USD in May of 2004, her Graduate degree in August 2007 and her Specialist degree in May of this year. She taught seventh- and eighth-grade math in the Watertown school district from 2004-2006 and high school math in the Yankton school dis- trict from 2007-2014. She hobbies are watching athletics, baking and spending time with her family. AMY REYES Amy Reyes is the High School Coun- selor for Yankton High School. She is mar- ried to Alejandro Reyes and has four children ages 9,6,4 and 1. She received her Bachlor degree from Mount Marty College in August 2006 and her Graduate degree from Northern State University in August of this year. She belongs to the American School Counselor Association, South Dakota Counseling Association, South Dakota School Counseling Associa- tion and National Alliance on Mental Illness. GRANT ROLFES Grant Rolfes is teaching Algebra I and Enriched Geometry at Yankton High School. He received his Bachelor degree at the University of Omaha in May of this year. His hobbies are playing and watch- ing sports, boating and hunting. He is a part of seventh-grade football and is the Freshman basketball coach. LISA ROLFES Lisa Rolfes is teaching seventh-grade Geography at Yankton Middle School. She received her Bachelor degree at Morningside College in May 2012. She taught Spanish I, II, Spanish for the Culi- nary Arts and American History at Mil- lard for two years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a member of the Morningside National Cross Country Team and President of Alpha Lambda Delta. Her hobbies are playing sports, being outside and reading. MARISA RUEB Marisa Rueb is teaching Kindergarten at Beadle School. She received her Bach- elor degree from USD in May of this year. She student-taught Kindergarten in Wag- ner in 2013 and fourth grade in Vermil- lion this year. She taught high school art in Huron in 2011 and high school/middle school art in Vermillion from 2012-2014. She has a minor in Coaching. KAYLA SOHLER Kayla Sohler is teaching third grade in Lincoln Elementary. She received her Bachelor degree at South Dakota State University in December 2013. Her hobbies are reading, boating, cooking and watch- ing sports. ANDREA STANOSHECK Andrea Stanosheck is the fourth-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary. She is mar- ried to James Stanosheck and has a 10 month old child named Henry. She re- ceived her Bachlor degree at Mount Marty College in May 2009. She taught second grade in Central City Public Schools for five years. She is an Honors Program graduate of Mount Marty, gradu- ated Summa Cum Laude, was on the Dean’s List for four years and was a Dean’s Scholar. Her hobbies are reading and supporting the Cornhuskers. JEANA WEGNER Jeana Wegner is the ninth-grade Gram- mar, 10th-grade Compostion and 11th- grade Literature teacher for Yankton High School. She received her Bachelor degree at USD in May 2012 and her Graduate de- gree at USD in May 2014. She previously student-taught 9th-11th grade English at Lincoln High School. Her hobbies are reading, watching movies, oil painting and traveling. She belongs to Golden Key Hon- ors Society and NEA organization. LYDIA WENTWORTH Lydia Wentworth is teaching Reading Recovery/Title 1 at Webster School. She is engaged and has two children, Elise, 7 and Mia, 3. She received her Bachelor de- gree from Mount Marty College in May 2008. She belongs to W.O.W. (Winners of Webster) and the United Church of Christ. HANNAH ZIMMERMAN Hannah Zimmerman is teaching first grade for Stewart Elementary. She re- ceived her Bachelor degree at SDSU in De- cember of 2012. She taught Kindergarten at the Santee Community school in 2013- 2014. She was president of the Student National Education Association Chapter. Bingham, age 80, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Tuesday, Au- gust 19, 2014, at Avera Sis- ter James Care Center in Yankton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Yank- ton with Reverend David Gunderson officiating. Bur- ial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Au- gust 21, 2014, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with a prayer serv- ice at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the church. Pallbearers are Michael, Johnathan and Andrew Palu, Nicholas, Jared and Aaron Goede, Shaun, Derek and Ryan Guthmiller. Don was born July 20, 1934 in Crofton, Nebraska to Wayne and Etta (Downie) Bingham. He was a twin to his brother, Ronald, who passed away at birth. Don was baptized April 13, 1935 at Hurst Stafford Methodist Church in rural Crofton. He grew up on a farm east of Bloom- field, Nebraska and gradu- ated from Bloomfield High School in 1952. After gradu- ation, Don moved to Wash- ington D.C. for a year, where he worked as a night clerk at a federal building. He then moved back to Bloomfield where he started his farming career. Don was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 25, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond, Ne- braska. On June 3, 1956, Don married Elnor Ganse- bom in Osmond. They were blessed with three daugh- ters, Carolyn, Barbara and Diane and were active members of First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Together they farmed for 54 years until Elnor passed away on Au- gust 22, 2008. Don then moved to Yankton and became a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was a forward thinking man who always looked out for the needs of his family, friends and farming operation. After his semi-retirement, he enjoyed driving down to the farm in Bloomfield and visiting with friends. He was a man of faith and found pleasure in the sim- ple things in life. Don is survived by his three daughters: Carolyn Palu of Gayville, SD, Bar- bara (Jim) Goede of Sioux City, IA and Diane Guth- miller of Yankton; nine grandsons: Michael, Johnathan and Andrew Palu, Nicholas (Chrissy), Jared (Jessica) and Aaron Goede, Shaun, Derek and Ryan Guthmiller; two great grandsons: Jacob and Zachary Goede; and a sis- ter, Sharon (Garry) Young of Bloomfield, NE. Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elnor Bingham; grand- daughter, Amanda Guth- miller; and his brother, Ronald in infancy. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, Menno, with Rev. Theresa Jacobson officiat- ing. Burial will be in the Menno Cemetery. Visitations will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Menno, SD. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. The Aisenbrey-Opsahl-Kos- tel Memorial Chapel, is as- sisting with service details. Pallbearers are Shirley’s grandsons, Lee Schenkel, Aaron Thielsen, Joshua Pulscher, Travis Thielsen and Dylan Mehlhaf. Hon- orary pallbearers are Shirley’s granddaughters, Melissa Boetger, Jessie Holmstrom, Emily Trevor, Kendra Simonsen and Darin Mehlhaf. Shirley (Frank) Auch was born in Scotland on Nov. 16, 1934 to Reinhold Frank and Ella (Hauck) Frank. Shirley attended school in Scotland and graduated in 1953. She met the love of her life, Edwin Auch, at a roller rink and later married on Nov. 14, 1954 in Scotland, SD. To this union, five daughters were born. Throughout those years, Shirley worked various jobs, in- cluding: a seamtress, kitchen and laundry aide, clerical work and countless hours helping Ed in the cabinet shop. Shirley loved to crochet, sew, garden, rummage, making German dishes and going for coffee with the girls on Wednes- days. She also enjoyed going to her children’s, grandchildren’s and great- grandchildren’s various school and church events. Shirley and Ed were truly in love as they were together nearly 60 years and never left each other’s side. They enjoyed going to movies, going out to eat, going to Kaylor on Wednes- day nights, fishing, going for drives, playing dominos and dancing to polka music. Mom could always be seen with a camera in her hand. Thankful for having shared her life is her hus- band, Edwin of Menno; daughters: Garnet (Arnold) Paulsen, Brenda (Gordon) Pulscher, April (Brian) Thielsen, all of Flandreau, SD, Darinda (Darrell) Mehlhaf and Shirlene (Scott) Simonsen, both of Menno, SD; 10 grandchil- dren: Melissa, Jessie, Emily, Lee, Aaron, Joshua, Travis, Kendra, Dylan and Darin; 12 great-children: Floyd, Christopher, Caleb, Saman- tha, Kaycie, Jackson, Sierra, Blake, Jonathan, Rory, Abby and Ty; her only sibling, Delores (George) Broz of Tyndall, SD; brother-in-law, Robert Auch; sisters-in-law: Alvina Auch, Luella Auch, Adella Auch and Alitha Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, an in- fant brother, Milton Frank, a great-granddaughter, Charley Rose Holmstrom and numerous other relatives. teacher at Lincoln Elementary. She is mar-ried to James Stanosheck and has a 10month old child named Henry. She re-ceived her Bachlor degree at MountMarty College in May 2009. She taughtsecond grade in Central City PublicSchools for five years. She is an HonorsProgram graduate of Mount Marty, gradu-ated Summa Cum Laude, was on theDean’s List for four years and was aDean’s Scholar. Her hobbies are readingand supporting the Cornhuskers.

JEANA WEGNERJeana Wegner is the ninth-grade Gram-

mar, 10th-grade Compostion and 11th-grade Literature teacher for Yankton HighSchool. She received her Bachelor degreeat USD in May 2012 and her Graduate de-gree at USD in May 2014. She previouslystudent-taught 9th-11th grade English atLincoln High School. Her hobbies arereading, watching movies, oil painting andtraveling. She belongs to Golden Key Hon-ors Society and NEA organization.

HANNAH ZIMMERMANHannah Zimmerman is teaching first

grade for Stewart Elementary. She re-ceived her Bachelor degree at SDSU in De-cember of 2012. She taught Kindergartenat the Santee Community school in 2013-2014. She was president of the StudentNational Education Association Chapter.Her hobbies are golf, DIY projects, craft-ing, following SDSU athletics and reading.

80, of Yankton, SouthDakota, died Tuesday, Au-gust 19, 2014, at Avera Sis-ter James Care Center inYankton.

Funeral services will be2:00 p.m. on Friday, August22, 2014, at St. John’sLutheran Church in Yank-ton with Reverend DavidGunderson officiating. Bur-ial will be in the Garden ofMemories Cemetery inYankton.

Visitation is from 5:00 to8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Au-gust 21, 2014, at the Wintz& Ray Funeral Home inYankton with a prayer serv-ice at 7:00 p.m. Visitationwill resume one hour priorto the funeral on Friday atthe church.

Pallbearers are Michael,Johnathan and AndrewPalu, Nicholas, Jared andAaron Goede, Shaun, Derekand Ryan Guthmiller.

Don was born July 20,1934 in Crofton, Nebraskato Wayne and Etta(Downie) Bingham. He wasa twin to his brother,Ronald, who passed awayat birth. Don was baptizedApril 13, 1935 at HurstStafford Methodist Churchin rural Crofton. He grewup on a farm east of Bloom-field, Nebraska and gradu-ated from Bloomfield HighSchool in 1952. After gradu-ation, Don moved to Wash-ington D.C. for a year,where he worked as a nightclerk at a federal building.He then moved back toBloomfield where hestarted his farming career.Don was confirmed in theLutheran faith on March 25,1956 at Immanuel LutheranChurch in Osmond, Ne-braska. On June 3, 1956,Don married Elnor Ganse-bom in Osmond. They wereblessed with three daugh-ters, Carolyn, Barbara andDiane and were activemembers of First TrinityLutheran Church in

Bloomfield.Togetherthey farmedfor 54 yearsuntil Elnorpassedaway on Au-gust 22,2008. Donthen moved

to Yankton and became amember of St. John’sLutheran Church. He was aforward thinking man whoalways looked out for theneeds of his family, friendsand farming operation.After his semi-retirement,he enjoyed driving down tothe farm in Bloomfield andvisiting with friends. Hewas a man of faith andfound pleasure in the sim-ple things in life.

Don is survived by histhree daughters: CarolynPalu of Gayville, SD, Bar-bara (Jim) Goede of SiouxCity, IA and Diane Guth-miller of Yankton; ninegrandsons: Michael,Johnathan and AndrewPalu, Nicholas (Chrissy),Jared (Jessica) and AaronGoede, Shaun, Derek andRyan Guthmiller; two greatgrandsons: Jacob andZachary Goede; and a sis-ter, Sharon (Garry) Youngof Bloomfield, NE.

Don was preceded indeath by his parents; wife,Elnor Bingham; grand-daughter, Amanda Guth-miller; and his brother,Ronald in infancy.

Shirley (Frank) Auchwas born in Scotland onNov. 16, 1934 to ReinholdFrank and Ella (Hauck)Frank. Shirley attendedschool in Scotland andgraduated in 1953. She metthe love of her life, EdwinAuch, at a roller rink andlater married on Nov. 14,1954 in Scotland, SD. Tothis union, five daughterswere born. Throughoutthose years, Shirleyworked various jobs, in-cluding: a seamtress,kitchen and laundry aide,clerical work and countlesshours helping Ed in thecabinet shop. Shirley lovedto crochet, sew, garden,rummage, making Germandishes and going for coffeewith the girls on Wednes-days. She also enjoyedgoing to her children’s,grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s various

school andchurchevents.Shirley andEd weretruly in loveas they weretogethernearly 60years and

never left each other’s side.They enjoyed going tomovies, going out to eat,going to Kaylor on Wednes-day nights, fishing, goingfor drives, playing dominosand dancing to polkamusic. Mom could alwaysbe seen with a camera inher hand.

Thankful for havingshared her life is her hus-band, Edwin of Menno;daughters: Garnet (Arnold)Paulsen, Brenda (Gordon)Pulscher, April (Brian)Thielsen, all of Flandreau,SD, Darinda (Darrell)Mehlhaf and Shirlene(Scott) Simonsen, both ofMenno, SD; 10 grandchil-dren: Melissa, Jessie, Emily,Lee, Aaron, Joshua, Travis,Kendra, Dylan and Darin;12 great-children: Floyd,Christopher, Caleb, Saman-tha, Kaycie, Jackson,Sierra, Blake, Jonathan,Rory, Abby and Ty; heronly sibling, Delores(George) Broz of Tyndall,SD; brother-in-law, RobertAuch; sisters-in-law: AlvinaAuch, Luella Auch, AdellaAuch and Alitha Petersonand numerous nieces andnephews.
