Focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to be global citizens, to Change the world, and to get experience. Youth Empowerment is a project initialized by the AIESEC Colombo South to enhance the entrepreneur skills, interpersonal skills and knowledge of students from universities and higher educational institutes in order to develop leadership skills & international exposure: 20 foreign undergraduates will be joining with AIESEC to conduct the project. As a contribution to achieve this vision, AIESEC CS (Colombo South) is organizing Youth Empowerment Project(YEP) for the 5th

consecutive year.

Youth empowerment is highly required to enhance the hidden potential of individuals and develop them to face the competitive world. In each passed by second more and more unknown knowledge is added and to keep up with the fast moving world, we require special skills and guidance. AIESEC Colombo South is keen on paving that path for undergraduates and school students to achieve the impossible.

Our aim is to, encourage the youth to have an established future following their dreams. In Sri Lanka, such opportunities and programs are limited mainly due to the competitiveness in the academic arena. Our belief is that, to become a balanced individual, one should focus on developing various skills and have international exposure while focusing on academic work.

Leadership & Entrepreneurship Development Program

This program is focused on potential leaders of high schools

Aiming the potential leaders of High Schools in two major cities

There will be two sessions, 1. Session 1: Conducted by a well-known professional2. Other sessions and the workshop: Conducted by the interns

Target audience: Prefects of major schools; Since they are already leaders who are trying to make an impact, it’s important for them to enhance their leadership skills to get the maximum use of it

Apart from these interactive sessions, topics related to youth will be discussed so that they could get a better knowledge
