    The Second Phase of War

    The second phase began over a Feudal

    dispute in the Duchy of Gascony, which the

    Black Prince, Edward ruled. Charles V was savvy and quite intelligent.

    His main strategy was to start war, but

    avoid the English troops.

    Richard II (1377-1399) of England was a
