I am back in the slammer! And I really like it!

I forgot how much I like going to jail, but I really like those folks so much. I guess I relate to them—they are real & desperate & they can’t pay attention for long. They look rough & they say the wrong things & I guess they just remind me of me. I know Jesus loves them so much & so I think I learn more about His love for me when I go on Thursday nights for women’s church in our local jail. We are praying for the church services & other outreaches going on there both for the men & women & the staff, especially their great chaplain, Larry Goldey. We are praying 1 Thessalonians 1:5, that God’s word would go forth with power. I am so thankful to be able to go to our jail and not be an inmate in it. I sure could have been where they are—I think most us could have been—add some bad decisions, dysfunctional backgrounds, wrong group of people, an addiction & I could be wearing those orange jumpsuits. One of my heroes, Mr. Herman, thanks God every time he takes a hot shower because there are people that do not have any hot water or even access to water. I want to live a grateful life like that where everything is a bonus and I am not entitled to one thing. I deserve to go to Hell, liter-ally I do, and so does every other human being since Adam. So anything & everything above Hell is a bonus & I want to remember that. I don't remember it much but I want to. I am a happier person when I do. The happiest people I know are the most grateful ones. “Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to

whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” -Luke 7:47

So thank you! Thanks for your interest & support of my life here at CornerStone. Thanks for your life, who you are & what you are doing. Bless us all as we don't give up & keep trying & are grateful!

60– unplug from electronics & connect w/ someone 60 minutes

each week. (write a letter, make a phone call, talk face to face)

1 –Make it a point to thank someone each day.

60– Do something for someone for 60 minutes each week—

find someone to serve each week.

Mitch Barnhart, the UK Athletic Director, challenged his UK athletes with this 60-1- 60 challenge at their annual ‘Catspy” Awards. I appreciate his heart to help them be great people & not just great ath-letes. I’m going to try to do the same. That’s at least one way I can be like an athlete at University of Kentucky :)

with words but also with power, with the Holy

Spirit and deep conviction.” -1 Thessalonians

Icthus 2012 Christian Music Festival is June 20-23. My nephews are going this year. It’s right here in Wilmore, KY. We have been praying for God’s word to go out in power.

We watched this powerful documentary on human trafficking made by www.exoduscry.com. Our hearts were so moved by what is going on in the world & probably in our towns. On Thursday eve-

nings here at CI-HOP We have started praying & worshipping with Ihop.org during their 2 hour prayer set against this issue. Check out the exodus cry website to worship & pray with them at home.

Thanks to Jesus & Mr. Herman, this little boy from Indonesia is going to be adopted by a Christian couple there. He never smiles. We are collecting $$ in this giant Coke bottle to send to him & his new adopted fam-ily—seemed ap-propriate that it’s a Coke bottle. Re-member that slo-gan, “have a Coke & a smile”? I’m go-ing to try to re-member to pray for him & other orphans in this world every time I see a Coca-Cola.
