Thanks and praise God for the WOGA’s activities.

We thank God that the Lord is using and empowering

the WOGA ministry in Myanmar. We had a training

partnership with MCCWF 31st March to 2nd April

2009.

! About 100 women attended the training and

were very encouraged by the teaching.

! Rev. Dorothy taught how to value women.

! Sis Lorraine taught about the life of Christ.

! Dr. C. taught about the book of Ruth.

! Dr. Cl. taught about son of Abraham and

daughter of Sarah.

! Rev. Shelly taught about faith.

! Dr. Priscilla taught about health and gave

medical treatment.

! Sis Linda taught about the Christian home.

Many women said that all the lessons were very

effective for their life.

Please pray for:

• 13 year anniversary of WOGA ministry in

Myanmar in May. The Lord continues to use

and bless WOGA in Myanmar.

• SIS Lorrine (our National Coordinator) who

lost her husband about two months ago.

• Rev. Dorothy and Rev. Shelly to get their

visas for US (planning to leave 18 June)

• Sunday school teacher’s training in October.

• Rev. Shelly's mother to have a good health.

In Christ,

Rev. Shelly

Praises:

" Amazing conference for the Arab women! It was truly a blessed time with more countries represented than ever before. The testimonies were powerful affirmation of how greatly God is working in this region. It was an encouraging, challenging time for all and reminds us that this is a “golden time” for the Arab world, and we need to pray fervently and support ministry in this region, particularly to women.

" Great time with Beza partners in Ethiopia following the Arab conference; we were inspired and challenged by what they are doing and thankful for WOGA’s involvement there.

" We had a special event with “Not for Sale” campaign against human trafficking here last weekend, creating even more awareness about what we can do locally and globally.

Prayer Requests:

# Pray for ministry throughout the Arab world, especially for breakthrough in the Gulf States. Pray for N. as she travels here in the states; she will be speaking at our WOGA meeting here on May 11. Pray for many to hear, hearts to be touched, and a great response.

# Pray for our team preparing to go to Ethiopia in June. We’re looking forward to returning, ministering, and sharing in what God is doing there. Pray for needed items: weaving looms, coffee roaster, and safety goggles. We’re praying to provide more of these for the micro-enterprise projects in Addis Ababa. Also, we hope to bring back jewelry from the Entoto project to have available for all the chapters to sell to support the ministry.

# Pray for greater awareness/response to the trafficking issue and involvement with WOGA to rescue, restore, and offer true freedom in Christ to these victims. We have learned that 25% of all trafficking occurs right here in Houston; a sad

distinction.

#Pray for more women to get involved in what God is doing in the Houston area and with WOGA projects globally.

We are so thankful for all God is doing to draw people to Himself, here and around the world. What a privilege to partner in His work! Diane Crews

Eastern Africa

• Kenya

Prayer Request:Ask the Father to influence the authority figures in each home and in the wider community, so that the practice of female circumcision will cease completely. Pray for an end to Satan’s power in this destructive, cultural practice. Pray for education to play a greater role in society. Ask God to change peoples’ hearts and minds so that this great trauma to women is stopped.

• Tanzania

Praises:

We praise God for what He has enabled the women of Tanzania accomplish last year especially in the field of evangelism and prayer. The women have been moving within the region sharing the love of God. As a result many people have received Christ as their Saviour, many miracles have been performed including a cripple who walked, two insane set free and others delivered from the powers of darkness.. Prayer Requests:

Pray that Tanzania does not become a Muslim nation and against the establishment of Khadi Courts. Pray also for resources for the ministry because up till now women use their own local resources.

• Uganda

Praises:

Like Tanzania we praise God for His grace that has enabled us for a number of accomplishments last year. A number of District Seminars have been carried out and many women have been $

empowered. Weekly prayer is held every Thursday morning in the National Coordinator's office and at night in the Ministry office. On my part I am personally involved with widows, orphans, elderly and adult literacy training in vernacular and English in one of the Districts.

Prayer Requests for Uganda:

1.! The National Coordinator who is the Resident District Commissioner for Kampala City is running a busy political office. Please ask God to help her balance ministry, career and home.

2.! The wave of human ritual sacrifices has assumed alarming proportions nationally with many child and adult disappearances, gruesome murders mostly in devil worship. There have been many ritual sacrifices in the city in many building sites under construction; and many have been collapsing killing many workers and innocent people. At the same time, arson in the city markets country wide and boarding schools killing many children and destroying properties worth billions of shillings is on the increase, to the dismay of the population.

! We are also having a prolonged drought countrywide. We have never seen such things before.

3.! The escalation of sexual immorality, sexual perversion, polygamy and violence in the home are threatening the sanctity of marriage and peace and security in the home.

!Please pray that God will reveal to the Church the

causes of the above and their spiritual consequences so that the church will actively challenged the spiritual evil powers that have attacked the nation.

!Although Jesus warned that the poor will always

be with us, we still believe in the best for God's children. Pray that God will give us ideas that can generate income.

hills belong to Him - and so do all of our resources!
