VElove conquers all

Her children will rise up and call her blessed...

– Proverbs 28

God our Creator, we pray: for new mothers, coming to terms with new responsibility; or expectant mothers, wondering and waiting; for those who are tired, stressed or depressed or struggle to balance the tasks of work and family. We pray for those whose children have physical, mental or emotional disabilities and those who have children they do not want. We pray for mothers who raise children on their own and those who have lost a child; for those who care for the children of others and for those whose chil-dren have left home. We pray for those whose desire to be a mother has not been fulfilled...

— and for those who try to create a home, even though they may be homeless.

Bless all mothers, that their love may be deep and tender, and that they may lead their children to know and do what is good, living not for themselves alone, but for God and for others. God shower them with love and mercy all the days of their lives.

May 1 Melvin requests prayer for courage, strength and guidance, that God will help him avoid tempta-tions and stay on the path of recovery.

May 3 Praise for God’s tremendous blessing over a homeless couple that have lived at the Mission since November, that they now have a job and a place of their very own.

Thou preparest a table before me...«
