PARK AND ATHLETIC FIELD USAGEBurr Ridge Park District Athletic fields and parks are available365 days per year for general public usage when such facilitiesare not scheduled for District programs or authorized rental us-ages. Any group or individuals desiring exclusive use of a parksite/facility can obtain a usage policy and application from thePark District which contains all information regarding availablefacilities, rules and regulations, and fee schedules. Availabilitywill be determined after seasonal programming needs have beenmet. For more information, contact us at 630-920-1969 or visitour website at www.brparks.org.

WHEN MUST A PERMIT BE ISSUED?Small groups or individuals that do not require any special ac-commodations generally do not need a permit to visit the parkand their access to the desired park facility is subject to avail-ability at the time of the visit. Any group in excess of 25 peopleis required to obtain a permit. Groups of 25 people or more willbe ejected from the park or facility without an authorized per-mit. Organized athletic or other high risk activities, activitiesutilizing rented or contractual services from private businesses, activities involving alcohol are a few of the other activities

requiring an authorized permit. Although an authorized rentalwill receive exclusive usage of a facility during the approvedtime, at no time is the renter allowed to exclude members of thegeneral public from utilizing the park’s other non-rented facili-ties during the time of their permit. Block parties and rental in-quiries regarding non-listed outdoor facilities will be consideredon a case by case basis.

OUTDOOR PICNIC SHELTER RENTALSPlease be advised that effective January 1, 2014, the Park Dis-trict will no longer grant rental permits to the general public forthe Main Shelter at Harvester Park. Heavy programming sched-ules, along with the popularity of the adjacent playground andsplash water play area, simply will not successfully accommo-date group permits and the public’s demand for access. ThePark District will make available for rental picnic shelters at theHarvester Park Wetlands and Oak Grove Park. Both of theseshelters have a capacity of 50 people. Again, all group gather-ings of greater than 25 people will require an approved permit.Contact the Park District for complete rules, regulations, feeschedules, and usage applications.

When Can I Reserve A Park? The Park District will consider applications to utilize eligiblepark facilities for the Spring, Summer, and Fall after March15 of the calendar year.
