• Progress Reports will be distributed 4½ weeks into each
quarter.
• Report cards will be distributed every nine weeks.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89

• Weighted Grades
– Tests and Projects = 1.0
– Quizzes = .50
– Daily Grades = .25
• Along with attendance, grades can
be accessed on Parent Portal this
year.

• Grades are updated frequently.
• Each student will have a 9 week goal
of four books on their reading level.
• Encourage your child to work toward
their individual reading goals.
• Grammar – parts of speech, punctuation,
types of sentences
• Spelling – word lists focusing on phonetic
spelling patterns
• Reading – different genres, novel studies,
comprehension skills, vocabulary
• Writing – narrative, expository, and persuasive;
