What is Instagram?

Instagram is a social media platform that allows users to share photos or videos.

Who is on Instagram?

90+% of the 150 million people on Instagram are under the age of 35We don’t connect with this demographic on other social medias – here is our chance.

68% of its users are female, according to Appdata.

Think all the moms that love PBS for the great kid programming and MASTERPIECE shows that are their guilty pleasure.

How will we gain followers?

1. Monitor a hashtag in your niche to find those who fit your buyer persona.

2. Reshare user-generated content, with permission.

3. Start Instagram contests, especially at events.

4. Post regularly

Rules:

- We will NOT pay for followers

- There will be ONE for our station. This way we have more content to share and we can continue to engage followers.

- Real photos will be chosen to post over graphics. People will follow us for that behind-the-scenes sneak peak not constant promotion.

- There will be a maximum of three hashtags per post. More than three makes it look like a spam account.
