The local cuisine or food in Oman reflects Arabic culture and illustrates to Arabic food that are popular in Gulf
countries too. Traditional Muscat Food is basically devised from the customary régime of the nomads, who use
elements that are easily available in Gulf countries like beef, mutton, lamb, chicken, seafood, dates, beans,
vegetables, yogurt, wheat, rice, pistachios, and spices— a reflection of Islamic food preferences that adds a
