Dear St. Michael School Families, On Saturday, February 9, 2019, we will be celebrating our 60th Annual Wine Tasting Gala & Auction. Our theme for this year’s event, Tradition & Terroir, ties together the beautiful heritage of our school with the “terroir” of the Livermore Valley—the land that makes the area’s wines uniquely its own. This evening will feature great food and wine pairings, games, dancing, and a fun atmosphere in which our school families can enjoy socializing while supporting our biggest fundraiser of the year. As always, the success of this event depends on the continued commitment and outstanding support of our school families as well as local businesses and the parish community. Here’s how you can help: 1. Donate. You can donate an item directly, provide a cash donation, and/or procure donations from friends or businesses you know personally. Items can include vacation rentals, concert/show/sporting event tickets, weekend trips, exclusive dinner packages, or theme park/museum tickets. Classes will receive credit for donations based on what is turned in with the donation forms to the school office. (Additional forms are located in the school office). The class with the most items donated will win a pizza party! 2. Sponsor. Families, businesses, or personal acquaintances who provide sponsorships greatly help to offset the cost of the event. Sponsoring the event is a great way to show your support of the school. (See the enclosed Sponsorship Form for contribution levels.) 3. Volunteer. The St. Michael’s School community is filled with talented, kind, and generous parents, students, and staff. We need your help before, during, and after the event to ensure the fundraiser is a success; and volunteering is a great way to get to know other parents from different grade levels. Many volunteer opportunities are available and this event is a great way to earn your volunteer hours for the year. 4. Sell Raffle Tickets. Support the event by inviting family and friends to purchase raffle tickets for cash prizes. Tickets will be sold online prior to the event and winners will be announced that night. 5. Attend. We sincerely wish that all our families would join us at the event. The auction is a wonderful community-building experience that brings us together toward a common goal. In addition, a portion of every ticket purchased contributes to revenue. Included in your packet is a two-page flyer that gives more information about the auction and participation requirements. Our goal is 100% participation from our St. Michael School families. If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Lemoine at [email protected] or 408.891.3990. Thank you!
