Dear Valued First Citizens’ Customer

Thank you for being a loyal banking member of First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union. Our mission is to provide you, our member, with outstanding personal service and innovative products using state of the art technology. Since our founding in 1937 we have consistently sought to improve your member experience by staying on the cutting edge of technology. Over the next several weeks, we will be making significant improvements to our operating systems, that will introduce new, state-of-the-art technology and transform your banking experience. You will experience easier, faster and more convenient services with added security features to protect your valuable assets. We wanted to share this exciting news with you so that you will be on the lookout for our communications regarding these system upgrades. These communications will ensure that you are fully informed about this transition and will help to minimize any disruption that might occur. Please check our website (www.firstcitizens.org) as frequently as possible for updates, or call our Contact Center at 800-642-7515 should you have any questions or concerns. Of course you are always welcome to visit any of our 11 branches where our professional staff are eager to answer any questions you may have. We will be reaching out to keep you informed about these developments as frequently as possible. We ask that you stay tuned for further communications and announcements over the next several weeks. Prior to Friday, October 7th, if you are an Online Banking user, you should check to see if your contact information is up to date because it will be used to authenticate your login after the system enhancement. You may update your email address when you are logged in to Online Banking

Online Banking Password

You will be required to reset your password the first time you log in to Online Banking. Your User ID is not changing (See pages 3-4)

Mobile Banking App

You will need to download our new Mobile Banking App from your App Store. (See pages 5-6)

Statements

You will receive your regular statement including activity through October 7, 2016. Your first new statement will show activity starting October 8, 2016. Going forward, you will receive a statement showing activity for your standard cycle.

Automated Telephone Banking

Your PIN will be reset and you will be prompted to select a new PIN. (See page 8)

TransactionsTransactions will be debited from or credited to your account immediately and are subject to our Fund Availability Policy.

Online Banking & Bill Pay

When you log in to Online Banking after the system enhancement, you’ll notice a fresh look and feel. You will still be able to do your banking the same as you normally do but we’re offering more features.

New/Enhanced Features:

▪ Account-to-Account transfers enable you to transfer funds to or from your accounts at another financial institution.

▪ Manage My Money allows you to get a handle on your finances. It helps you with organizing and categorizing your spending and you can even establish savings goals. All with no downloading necessary.

▪ Change Your Address Online

▪ Deactivate/Activate your Visa® CheckCard & ATM cards online in case they are lost or stolen.

▪ Stop Payments Online. Members and Small Businesses can make stop payments on a check from online banking.

▪ Merchant Deposit Capture for Businesses. Make deposits anytime, reduce risk of check fraud, and cut courier fees. Training or demo provided by First Citizens’ staff member.

▪ Multi Factor Authentication Enhancement is a type of authentication that requires a secondary verification method through a separate communication channel along with the typical ID and password. You may be required to enter an access code each time you log in from a new computer or device. You may choose to receive your access code via phone or email.

▪ Your online banking User ID remains the same

▪ Your new temporary password will be the last four digits of your Social Security number and your zip code. Example: 123402719. If you preregistered for the new online banking system, please login using the password you previously created.

▪ You will need to reestablish your Account alerts after the system enhancement.

▪ For businesses, your new temporary password will be the last four digits of your business EIN plus your zip code.

Mobile Banking App

Banking on the go just got better! Mobile Banking allows you to check your balances, make bill payments, transfer money and find your nearest ATM and branch locations. With this system enhancement we’ve added a number of new features.

New/Enhanced Features:

▪ Mobile Check Deposit. Deposit checks simply and securely anytime from anywhere using the First Citizens’ Mobile Banking App and your smartphone or tablet.

▪ Account-to-Account transfers enable you to transfer funds to or from your accounts at another financial institution.

▪ Fast Balances

Debit Cards and ATMs

There is no change to your card, and your PIN remains the same.

What You Need to Know

▪ Your security is important to us. That’s why it’s important to activate your Visa® CheckCard as soon as you receive it. To activate your new or replacement card, please follow the instructions on your card.

▪ If you do not know or have forgotten your current PIN, please call our Contact Center at 1-800-642-7515 and we will be happy to verify your identity and order a replacement PIN. This PIN will arrive by mail.

▪ ATMs will have a slightly different look and will provide English, Spanish and Portuguese language transaction menus with this system enhancement.

Direct Access- Automated Telephone Banking

What You Need to Know

▪ Your PIN will be reset to the last four digits of your social security number, which you will use the first time you call after Oct. 11th. For Businesses, your initial pin code will be the last five digits of the social security number of the signer on the account. You will then be prompted to select a new PIN.

Our Direct Access Automated Telephone Banking is new. Please listen carefully to the menu as some selections have changed. You can access your account information 24/7 using a touch tone phone — check balances, monitor deposits and withdrawals, transfer funds between linked accounts and more.

New/Enhanced Features:

▪ Portuguese Now Available. First Citizens’ Direct Access Automated Telephone Banking is a convenient way to get account information when you’re on the go. We now offer languages in English, Spanish and Portuguese! Call toll-free at 1-800-991-4296.

Statements

Your statement will have a slightly different look and feel, but your account information will remain the same.

What You Need to Know

▪ You will receive an abbreviated statement including activity through October 7, 2016 and your first new statement will show activity starting October 8, 2016 through your normal cycle date. Going forward, you will receive statements on your standard cycle.

▪ If you are already signed up for eStatements, you will continue to receive them after the system enhancement. You do not need to sign up again.

▪ To access your eStatements, you will need to be enrolled in Online Banking starting October 11th.

▪ If you currently are not registered to view your eStatements within our Online Banking system, you will need to do so starting October 11th. The first time you log in after the system enhancement, you will be required to reset your password when you log in using your current eStatements User ID. Your temporary password will be the last 4 digits of your social security number and your zip code.

Transactions

What You Need to Know

▪ For your added protection, we may scan your license or other identification the next time you visit a branch office. Then, each time you conduct a transaction at a branch office, we’ll be able to identify you more quickly and be able to further protect you against unauthorized activity.

▪ Your transaction receipt with balances will have a different look (see example image) and will include your signature.

▪ The next time you visit your local branch, you’ll no longer need to fill out deposit, withdrawal or payment slip before conducting your transaction. Just let us know how we can help you.

We work hard to protect you and your accounts. When you check your balance at the branch, online, by phone or at an ATM, you will have the balance at that time with the exception of any checks outstanding.

New/Enhanced Features:

▪ After the system enhancement is made, your transactions will occur in real-time in keeping with banking best practices. This means that items will be debited from or credited to your account immediately.

▪ Signature pads will now be utilized in our branches. A paperless process reduces paper and saves time so our Banking Associate can dedicate more time to serving you. It’s good for the environment and creates easy retrieval of receipts in our system.

A Few More Points...

What You Need to Know ▪ If you have a Line of Credit(LOC) with us, after the system enhancement, the LOC available balance will no longer be included in your checking account available balance.

▪ Account numbers will not change.

▪ For Quicken & QuickBooks Users please note that aggregation services will be interrupted for up to 5 business days after the system upgrade is complete. We encourage users to download transactions with Web Connect in the meantime. Please follow the “Quicken & Quickbooks Guides” provided online at www.firstcitizens.org/our- info/think-better-think-first

▪ Direct Connect will be available after the system enhancement. You will need to enroll in Direct Connect through Online Banking prior to connecting.

Frequently Asked Questions▪ Why is the Credit Union enhancing its system? The enhanced system will enable us to serve you better. Some of the things that you’ll find better are: – Faster transaction processing – New & enhanced Online Banking features with simplified navigation – Enhanced Mobile Banking features including Mobile Deposit

▪ Where can I learn more? Additional information is available at www.firstcitizens.org/our-info/think- better--think-first. You may also receive information in your account statements, email, social media and post office mail. If you need assistance, visit one of our branch offices or contact our Contact Center at 1-800-642-7515.

▪ What are the Credit Union hours during the system enhancement? Branch offices are closed Columbus Day Weekend: Saturday, October 8th, Sunday, October 9th, and Monday, October 10th (Columbus Day).

▪ How can I access my account funds during the system enhancement? Use your Debit/ATM card to make withdrawals at ATMs & purchases with your Checkcard where VISA® is accepted.

▪ Will my account number(s) change? No, your account number(s) will not change.

▪ Is my Online Banking User ID changing? No, your Online Banking User ID will not change.

▪ Is my Online Banking Password changing? For your security, the first time you log in to Online Banking after the system enhancement, you will be required to update your contact information, re-accept the Online Banking Terms and Conditions, and reset your Password. Your temporary password will be the last 4 digits of your social security number and your zip code. (EXAMPLE: 123402719) If you preregistered for the new online banking system, please login using the password you previously created. You will also be required to update your security questions and your e-mail address.
