Weston is a beautiful community of more than 10,000 residents. The town is renowned as wonderful place to raise a family, so much so that Connecticut Magazine recently ranked Weston as the best town to live in out of dozens of similarly sized communities in the state. Weston is largely a residential community, and while there is a busy town center and a number of small local businesses, commercial development in the town is limited. Residents take great pride in the school system, civic involvement, and community spirit. More than 80 percent of Weston adult residents have college degrees and, consequently, place high value on education. Located in Fairfield County about 45 minutes from New York City, Weston combines the charm of a small New England town with the amenities and benefits of a metropolitan suburb.

Weston has an award winning school system that has been regionally and nationally recognized for providing students with tremendous educational opportunities. The Board of Education, as well as the town as a whole, has high expectations for all students, teachers, administrators, and staff members. All schools have excellent reputations. In 2015, Niche ranked Weston High School as the best in Connecticut, and in 2013 it was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School among the very best in the country. About 97 percent of Weston graduates are accepted into highly competitive colleges and universities.

Districtwide, Weston prides itself on small class sizes, individualized and personalized instruction, and an education system that brings out the best in all students and teachers. Schools are centrally located on a 117 acre campus all within easy walking distance from district offices. There are currently about 2,400 students attending Weston Public Schools.
