by: Rich RiordanThis book is about how ancient Egypt still runs
the show. Just like the base of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but the gods don’t mate with humans. The humans trap the gods and they summon them when needed. Carter and Sadie lost their mother when their father released Bast the cat goddess. That’s when their mother died and their
grandparents fought to get Sadie and Carter. They won Sadie but not Carter - there’s a catch - they get to come together twice a year. In the second chapter they meet up and go to a museum and release five gods. They are Orisis, Isis, Horus, Nemphys and Set. Set plans to destroy the world and rule like a Pharaoh of Egypt. Carter and Sadie learn that they are hosting gods and goddess, Horus and Iisis. They are the only ones who can save the world before Set rules the universe.
