Since their mother’s death, Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London

and her brother Carter has traveled the world with their father, Dr.

Julius Kane, an intelligent ancient Egyptian historian. One night, Julius

decides to bring Carter and Sadie together for a research experiment at

the British Museum with the intention of bringing his family together.

Instead, the Egyptian god, Set, is unleashed and banishes Julius and forces

Carter and Sadie to flee for their lives.

Carter and Sadie soon realize that the gods of Egypt are waking and Set

has his sights to destroy the Kanes. In order to prevent this from

happening, Carter and Sadie embark on a dangerous journey around the

world that enlightens them to the truths about their family and their

links to a secret order that has existed since the time of the Pharaohs. Are

Anubis: God of Embalming

Anubis was the god of embalming and the dead. Since jackals were often seen in

cemeteries, the ancient Egyptians believed that Anubis watched over the dead.

Anubis was the god who helped to embalm Osiris after he was killed by Seth. Thus,

Horus: God of the Sky

Horus is probably most well-known as the protector of the ruler

of Egypt. The ancient Egyptians had many different beliefs about the

god Horus. One of the most common beliefs was that Horus was the son

of Isis and Osiris. After Osiris was murdered by his brother Seth, Horus fought

with Seth for the throne of Egypt. In this battle, Horus lost one of his eyes. The eye

was restored and became a symbol of protection for the ancient Egyptians.

Ra was the sun god and the most important god of the ancient
