My Brother Knights and their families:

There will be a Knights Mass at St. Anastasia’s 5:15 Mass on Saturday, March 18. I strongly encourage all Mater Dei Knights and family members who are parishioners at St. Anastasia to process with your brother Knights and their families. I also encourage members from St. Pius to participate. All Knights should wear jacket and tie. As we have done at St. Pius, we will provide you with yellow and white sashes to place over your jackets. Following the Mass, at 7:00 PM, there is a Pro Life St. Patrick’s Day party in the St. Anastasia parish hall. We are being provided the opportunity to have a table at the event. The party is expected to be very well attended and should afford us a significant opportunity to recruit prospective candidates, while having an enjoyable evening. Please let me know if you have interest in this recruitment endeavor. The next Knights Mass at St. Pius will be at the 5:15 Mass on Saturday, March 25. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered at St. Pius on Saturday, April 8, at 9:30. AM. Our Color Corp will participate in the procession. The Mater Dei day of service at Camilla Hall is Saturday, April 29. As previously noted, the day of service is in connection with Trinity Chapter. The Chapter has undertaken the task of repaint-ing the rooms of the retired sisters and has requested that councils volunteer to staff the project for a day. We have chosen April 29. If you have not already volunteered, I ask that you give serious consideration to joining with your brother Knights in this most worthwhile and reward-ing task. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Fraternally,

Charlie Waldecker

PS: Refer to the calendars and announcements for all our Council activities in future versions of the Observer. Also please check your e-mails often for any last minute announcements and

reminders.

At our Officer Meeting we presented a $500 check from our Disaster Fund to Gina and Luciano Russo. Gina and Luciano are pictured with their children Luciano, Mia and Lorenzo. Luciano and Mia attend St. Pius school. Their third child, Lorenzo, was rushed to CHOP shortly after his birth suffering from an acute infection. He spent 17 days at CHOP, causing a very difficult period both physically and financially for the Russo Family. Thankfully, the treatment was successful and Lorenzo is now healthy.
