    Business Challenge

    Enabling Areas

    Introduction

Were pleased to announce the launch of the Maverick season IV! This year, we kick -off with a function-

specific approachand you are invited to solve an Enabling Areas (EA) business challenge. To create an

impact, you are encouraged to form team with professionals across EA service areas and levels to

leverage the wide variety of skills in our firm. For the EA-specific business case, please provide an

innovative solution that is no longer than 2 pages (12 point font) or 3 PowerPoint slides. If you are

participating, please let your colleagues on the floor know about your efforts. We want a lot of

excitement generated around this years Maverick competition. Best of luck for a rewarding and

    productive experience!

US India offices have witnessed a phenomenal headcount growth in the last few years. The current

headcount stands at 16,562 professionals spread across the four locations. Growth, while exciting forthe business, also exerts tremendous pressure on the existing infrastructure to provide a compelling

work experience to our professionals. One such issue that has emerged with rapid growth is offering

adequate parking space to our professionals who avail the own transport option. The allure of the own

transport option is the flexibility that it offers the professionals. 74% of professionals choose to self-

commute (but all may not need parking) to work across the four locations. One more factor that

exacerbates the parking availability is the workforce operating on multiple-shifts to provide a 24/7

coverage to our clients. The adverse effects of lack of adequate parking space include; parking in public

places without adequate protection increasing risk of damages/loss of vehicles, inconvenience during

adverse weather conditions, and the lost time in searching for public parking places. Given there are

finite limits to increasing parking spots in leased buildings (see Appendix 1):

Provide an innovative and a feasible solution(s) that tackles the problem of inadequate parking

    space.

Provide a balanced assessment of costs, benefits, and risks of your suggested solution(s).

Provide a persuasive communication plan for your solution(s) that would appeal to all the

    stakeholders (leadership, employees, and operations).
