Dear Brothers of Kappa Psi,

I hope this message finds you in good spirits and well on your way to accomplishing your goalsfor the year.

But with the beginning of the New Year, it is a time for reflection and resolutions. The most common New Year’s resolutions people make are to lose weight or stop smoking. If you have madeone of these resolutions, I encourage you to follow through with them.

However, as Grand Regent, I encourage you to add a resolution to get along better with your fellow man or woman . . . whether they are Kappa Psi brothers or otherwise, we must do more to be understanding and accepting.

In our nation we are divided by race, gender, religion, sexual preference, our favorite sportsteams, occupation, and many other things. It seems that much of the human race continues toexhibit the “pack effect” of many lower species. We feel there is safety in numbers, so we group ourselves into packs based on categories and fight hard against anyone not in our pack. If anyonedisagrees with what we believe to be true, we call them names and attempt to marginalize them.

But we forget that the biggest pack we can belong to is the human race. And we forget that ashumans, we have been blessed with the ability to use our minds to understand complex issues andto think not just of what benefits us individually, but what benefits society as a whole.

And believe me; I know that this article is rubbing many of you the wrong way, because in manyinstances our opinions and beliefs make us who we are. And we feel that if we aren’t right in whatwe think, then we question who we really are.

But keep this thought in mind. Unless you are talking about the laws of the universe, the fact that someone else is right does not make you wrong. Most of what we argue and fight about is ouropinions and beliefs, neither of which can actually be proven. So who knows where the truth lies.

And remember, by hating someone else for believing differently than you do, you have no choicebut to give them the right to hate you for believing differently than they do.

As health care professionals, we have a higher calling to care for our fellow man, regardless ofwhich category they belong to. I would hope that we could expect the same as Kappa Psi brothers.

Fraternally Yours,

Lawrence“LB” Brown

FarewellBrothers,

Every once in a while, during your life, you have to do something that is very difficult and

painful. Writing my last editor’s column is one of those things. I must say goodbye to a job

that I came to love. Since 1994, I have served as your editor and now with the winter 2009

issue, I must end my tenure as the editor of THE MASK.

Already I feel the pain of separation because I truly enjoyed seeing each issue take shape

and grow its own wings. I enjoyed reading about all of the good and great things that you do

each and every day. I will miss that up-to-date feeling I got as I read each article three or four

times, and seeing all the great pictures that you sent.

I will truly miss watching chapters bloom and brothers grow. It has been my very distinct

pleasure and honor to serve as one of only 15 editors of our magazine since 1904. As a brother,

I can think of no greater honor that you could have given me. Thank-you for all the support

over the years.

Fraternally,

Johnny

I t was early morning on October 1 whenthe moving van pulled up to the new

office location. I looked out in amazementas the movers opened the van doors and Isaw all of the stuff that had to beunloaded and sorted. I rolled up mysleeves and began the process. It tookfour movers and little old me five hours tounload the van and get things located inthe proper rooms, or at least I thought theproper rooms.

I have been a member of Kappa Psisince 1971 and I felt a huge surge ofpride as the van was unloaded. I havealways had a lot of respect for the execu-tive director but never realized the amountof work, time and dedication that wasrequired. I opened boxes and cases andsaw things that I knew would be used

shortly and saw things that I wondered if Iwould ever learn how to operate or useproperly. I spent 12 hours that day in totalamazement at the enormity of the jobahead.

The next day Wendy Flores, theFraternity’s new administrative assistant, arrived for her first day of work. She toowas overwhelmed by the sheer volume ofthings we had to do in a relatively shortperiod of time. She dived right in andsoon had the new office organized and setup and ready to begin work.

We had no idea what to do but thatsoon changed as orders came in, supplyrequests arrived, and the phone began toring all on the first day before we couldeven open all the crates. We just jumpedright in. So since the first few days, both of

us have been learning what it means to bethe “Central Office.”

I know it has been a bit rough the firstfew months for all of us, but as timemoves on, all things will get smoother. Bythis time next year, many Province meet-ings and the GCC will have come andgone and the newness of the Texas transi-tion will be long forgotten.

I hope that I can only live up to theexpectations that I have for myself andgive you the service that you expect. It willbe my pleasure to serve as your executivedirector. Thank you for the opportunity.

Brothers,

I would like to announce and congratulate our new number one Grad Chapter of the Year—Providence Grad! They did a tremendous job over the pastyear and are well deserving of the recognition. Below you will find the list of the top ten chapters overall. I am proud to also mention that this year we received submissions from 25 percent of our grad chapters and I am hoping we can do even better next year. Stay tuned for details and updates on next year’s award submission in the next few months. Be sure to plan ahead and start gathering datanow as it is never too early, even with the deadline not being until the first week ofJuly 2009! Don’tforget about ournew award (start-ing next year) forMost ImprovedGrad Chapter thatany chapter submitting twoconsecutive formswill be eligible for.

It was alsogreat to see chapters likePacific, Pocono,Arizona,Southwestern, and TennesseeGrad apply for the annual award for the first time (recently?) and hopefully manyother chapters will build on that trend again next year. Thanks again for everyonewho took the time to reflect on their chapter’s current status and sent in the form. Itis obvious only one chapter will be number one, but it was still great to see theeffort and read about the progress and accomplishments of all of those chapterswho provided me with their info. I am sure there are many more chapters out therewho are “active” so prove it to me in 2009! Finally, I would like to thank the GradDevelopment Committee, especially Jennifer Given who helped out with reviewingand compiling the information and actually just recently gave birth to a baby boy(James Alan) on November 23—congrats Jenn!

Have a happy and safe holiday season everyone . . .

BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State University didn’t have to look far whenselecting the next dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Professor Dennis Hedge, who had been serving as acting dean since July 1, hasbeen named the 11th dean in the 120-year history of the college. He takes over forBrian Kaatz, who became dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University ofSouth Dakota. Hedge’s appointment is subject to the approval of the South DakotaBoard of Regents.

“The SDSU College of Pharmacy has a wonderful tradition of excellence and Ilook forward to helping shape our future,” said Hedge. “I believe that without a doubt, our best days are ahead of us.”

Hedge hits the ground running and has been guiding the college through inter-esting times.

First and foremost, he has been working through issues relative to the college’smove to its temporary home in the Intramural Building, the old Barn, during construc-tion of the Avera Health and Science Center on the SDSU campus.

The center provides a $51 million complex scheduled to open in fall 2010.Replacing the Guilford C. Gross Pharmacy Building, the new center will be home tothe College of Pharmacy as well as the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The center will occupy 144,600 square feet, making it the largest academic facilitiesproject in South Dakota history.

“The Avera Health and Science Center will be a first-class educational facility thatwill allow us to teach students in a manner that will keep our graduates among the

most highly regarded in the country,” said Hedge.Finishing the center tops the to-do list along with other major objectives for the college.“We have a great tradition of academic excellence associated with our Pharm.D. program and maintaining that

excellence will always be a priority,” Hedge said. “A big goal is to elevate the college’s identity both nationally andinternationally through expansion of our research programs and increased scholarly work.”

Hedge played a “key role” in the college’s accreditation process and described the college’s role during visitsassociated with the University Capital Campaign. In addition, he served as a member of the USD-SDSU HealthScience Alliance Dean’s Committee and as a member of the Avera-SDSU Health Sciences Advisory Board.

A native of Hoxie, Kansas, Hedge earned his pharmacy doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1991, followedby a one-year residency in clinical pharmacy at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

He came to SDSU in 1992 in the dual role of assistant professor of clinical pharmacy and as a clinical pharmacistat Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Hedge was named head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, now Pharmacy Practice, August 4, 2003. Hewas promoted to associate dean August 2007 and acting dean a year later before joining the legacy of official deansof the college.

“The College of Pharmacy has a wonderful history that has been shaped by an outstanding group of deans,” saidHedge. “I’m truly honored to be mentioned with this fine group and will work hard to maintain the standard ofexcellence they have established for our college.”

Season’s greetings from Delta Xi!As the semester draws to a close, our chapter is proud to look backupon our accomplishments. Since

the last article, Kappa Psi Delta Xihas been up to our necks with activ-ities, keeping busy with numerousprofessional projects, fundraisers, and social events.

Thanks to our diligent profes-sional project chairs, Beth Zuhr andJin Chen, our brothers have beenactively giving back to our commu-nity. One of our service projectswas Vial of Life (LifesavingInformation for Emergencies)events that were at local CVS phar-macies. Jin Beth and DustinBurleson, the regional CVS interncoordinator, established dayswhere our brothers could go intothe pharmacies and provide infor-mation about Vial of Life. The eventwas split into two days to allow allbrothers to participate. For patientswho were interested, we handedout free vials and/or helped themfill out the information forms inside.Another service project was held atthe Bernard J. Dunn School ofPharmacy. At the annual FallHealth Fair, sponsored by ourschool’s APhA chapter, we hosted aVial of Life table. Members of thecommunity, especially senior citi-zens, were invited to attend. At this

event, there were various healthscreening stations for Diabetes,Body Mass Index, Heartburn, alongwith many others. At our station, the Kappa Psi brothers once morepassed out vials, helped patients fillthem out, and answered questions.Furthermore, Delta Xi also co-host-ed a Medicare Part D day alongwith APhA and Phi Lambda Sigma. The event was held at our pharma-cy school and was an astoundingsuccess due to the large turnout ofMedicare participants. We helpedthese people analyze their currentprescription plans, compared theircurrent plans to other plans, andanswered any Medicare-relatedquestions. In some circumstances,we even helped them sign up for anew plan. Overall, it was a great andrewarding learning experience forall those involved!

In October, our brothers alsohosted the Eugene WhiteDistinguished Lectures Serieswhich featured Michelle Thomas, the clinical director of RichmondApothecaries Inc. Dr. Thomasspoke during seminar hour to alarge group of pharmacy students, faculty members, and special

guests including the Whites them-selves. For Halloween, our pledge-master, Uyen Nguyen, also coordi-nated a Kappa Psi pumpkin-carvingevent. Artistic designs ranged any-where from a headless horseman toa face of Hello Kitty! Afterwards, the pumpkins were donated to anursing home for residents toenjoy.

For this chapter, 2008–2009 is animportant year for fundraisingbecause of the Province III assem-bly that we will be hosting in thespring. Thanks to our fund-raisingchair, Michelle Choi, and the hardwork of our brothers, Delta Xi hasraised more than $1,000 by sellingJoe Corbis products and T-shirts.The selling of products from JoeCorbis, a cookie dough and frozengoods company, has become anannual tradition of Delta Xi, and ourbrothers were eager to once moredeliver these high demand goods. For her contributions, Michelle wasnamed our Brother of the Month. However, her work isn’t done yet asProvince is still months away. Keepup the hard work, Michelle!

But although our brothers knowhow to work hard, we still knowhow to have fun. Our social chairs,Shalisa Salla and Mona Kalsi, havemade sure that Delta Xi gives backto our school in a fun and excitingway. Thanks to their attentiveness, our chapter was proud to oncemore team up with Dr. WendellCombest, assistant professor hereat the BJD School of Pharmacy, tohost our annual Combest Bonfire. The event took place at Dr.Combest’s farm, was open to theentire pharmacy school, and fea-tured activities such as a chili cook-off, scary movie on the lawn, freshhomemade apple cider, and frees’mores. As one of our traditionalevents, Combest Bonfire is always ahit whenever we host it.

To show our gratitude towardsour hard-working faculty brothers,Delta Xi also hosted a FacultyAppreciation Luncheon at the phar-macy school. The theme was an“International Potluck” and all ourfaculty brothers were invited toattend. Dishes ranged anywherefrom a Korean salad to Indian but-ter chicken. The food was deliciousthanks to the culinary talents of ourculturally diverse group of broth-ers. Our chapter topped off thesemester with a White Elephant

Just like a track star leaving theblocks at the sound of the starterpistol, Epsilon Beta is off and run-ning towards a great beginning.Community service projectsabound with no shortage of volun-

teers to accomplish all of the chal-lenges each date brings. The broth-ers of Epsilon Beta have knockeddown the door to extend thelessons of Brotherhood impartedby Kappa Psi to our San Antoniofamily. The projects ranged fromsupporting the fight against hungerto active participation in assessingmembers of the community in sup-port of the battle against major dis-eases, specifically HIV/Aids anddiabetes. These opportunitiesallowed the brothers to show thefinest qualities exemplifying whatthe founders of our great Fraternityenvisioned.

I witnessed firsthand the healingpowers of kindness as brothersdragged themselves out of bed onan early Saturday morning after abattery of exams the Friday before. With countless hours of studyingstill showing on their faces and thestandard issue of coffee cup in tow,Kappa Psi pharmacy studentswalked into the lobby of the SanAntonio Food Bank unaware ofwhat was before them. “Gather’round, we are going to start!” Thewords resonated through the crowdof volunteers. Visions of a drillsergeant barking at new troopscame to mind. The coordinator wastough and to the point as she

explained the terrible hunger pre-sent in our community. We couldeasily see why she had to be allbusiness. The numbers wereastounding and we could not wait todive in and help. We divided up intogroups and dug into the cans, drygoods, and assorted other items tomake boxes to give to hungry fami-lies. Although we only worked for afew hours, we were able to loadmore than 13,000 pounds of foodinto individual boxes to give tothose who are in desperate need.Knuckles were bruised from mov-ing cans around to get the perfectfit in the box to allow for one moreitem. Brothers Mike Gres, AnupaShah, Lindsey Mills, Josh Fugate,Myra Hua, Jon Cuevas, MyraFierro, Travis Dangerfield, JosephTrang, Dr. David Maize and I werecalled “super hunger fighters.” As Ilooked around, I noticed the broth-ers who were run down from theday to day of school seemed tostand taller, smile bigger, and thewrinkles ironed right out with everyfood box packed and one of thehopes from a total strangeranswered. Suddenly the burdens ofschool and student life paled incomparison to the many facinghunger.

Talk about putting your best footforward, many brothers also helpedin other community service activi-ties, such as helping to set up andthen to clean up after the wonderfulproject “Stomp out HIV/AIDS.”Once again we turned out in theearly Saturday morning air to erectthe various stages and activities forthe HIV/AIDS organization.Activities included blowing up redand black balloons that were usedfor the start and finish lines, whichBrother Craig Torbert jokingly saidhe was especially equipped with hotair, handing out water to the run-ners, setting up the musical stage, and probably most important of all, showing our support for those whocame out to demonstrate theirresolve to eradicate HIV/AIDS. Ourbrothers cheering and workingincluded: Corey Cooper, ChelseaCoronado, Jon Cuevas, NatalieDobbs, Kim Erickson, LeslieLunsmann, Brittany Martinez,Lindsey Mills, Amy Morton,Cynthia Nguyen, Anupa Shah, andMarco Viduarri.

Buffalo GraduateBuffalo Grad is looking ahead to

a great 2009. At the end of 2008,Buffalo Grad was busy traveling. We had brothers attend both theProvince V Midyear in Cincinnatiand the Province II Midyear meet-ing in Pittsburgh. Our historian,John Pietkiewicz, gave presenta-tions at both meetings to update theProvinces on what Buffalo Grad hasbeen doing.

In November, Gamma Iota com-pleted their pledging with an initia-tion celebration and dinner.Congratulations to the 10 newGamma Iota brothers! Buffalo Gradwas happy to be involved through-out the process, and for the secondyear, we “Sponsored a Pledge” bypaying for their first semester ofdues. We would also like to con-gratulate two Buffalo Grad brotherson their recent engagement—ScottMonte and Jamie McPoland!

For 2009, we are still working onorganizing our fifth annual CEwhich will be held in March. Weare also trying to finalize details onoffering a scholarship to a GammaIota brother. Make sure to checkour Web site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kappapsibuffalograd/ formore details regarding 2009 events.

much use of our brains as we tack-led Operation Diabetes. RooseveltHigh School opened their doors tothe surrounding community andgave us the opportunity to make adifference. San Antonio has a highpercentage of people with diabetes, and the area surrounding RooseveltHigh School has many individualswho cannot afford to get simpletests done. Our brothers performedBMIs, diabetic foot exams, immu-nizations for the flu, and evenchecked blood pressures andblood/sugar levels. It was a suc-cessful day and those who weretested were appreciative that thebrothers were able to give them thecare that was easy for us, yet hardfor them to obtain.

The age-old saying “Physician, heal thyself” was put to the test atour very own Feik School ofPharmacy. At a Meet and Greet,Kappa Psi partnered with otherorganizations from our school toshowcase the benefits of greatinstruction and hard work by teach-ers and students alike. The broth-ers took blood pressure readings aspart of the day’s activities. We weregiven the chance to test our coun-seling skills on the members of ourUniversity of the Incarnate Wordfamily—all under the watchful eyesof the Brotherhood in that BrothersDr. David Maize and Dr. DavidTrang are both faculty membersand mentors to our chapter.Brothers participating in the eventwere Chelsea Coronado, JonCuevas, Travis Dangerfield, KimErickson, Brandi Fewell, MikeGres, Stefanie Huizar, JohnMarbach, Brittany Martinez, RickMedina, Amy Morton, CynthiaNguyen, Payal Patwa, Anupa Shah,Craig Torbert, Joseph Tran, PeterTran, Marco Vidaurri, JamesWerline, and Valerie Wood.

Service to the community, whether as a super-hunger fighter,an extra pair of hands to carrywater at a walk-a-thon, or a soothingeducated voice to get someone onthe right track to caring for theirhealth, is one of the cornerstones ofbeing a Kappa Psi brother. At theEpsilon Beta chapter at theUniversity of the Incarnate Word,we reaffirm our commitment tomaking a difference through settinghigh goals and exceeding our ownexpectations. Pacific GraduateThe fall season is always busy for

the pharmacy world as it preparesfor cold and flu season, seasonalaffective disorder (SAD), and holi-day anxiety. I’m sure we all dealtwith this at some point. But coldweather and holiday blues did notstop some brothers from PacificGrad to live their lives.

This year, Halloween fell on aFriday—perfect for a themed socialevent. The brothers from GammaNu held their annual HalloweenHavoc on campus in the recently-

built University Center. For thebrothers who made an appearance, they were ah-struck by a new largebuilding—tall and well lit—visiblefrom off Pacific Avenue. The insidewas just as nice and large enoughfor the occasion. Among the alumniin attendance were Jon Hashimoto,Ethan Anderson, Derrick Egi,Sunny Bains, and Eric Gupta. Hatsoff to Gamma Nu for pulling off asuccessful event in a brand newplace.

Pacific was also out in the com-munity for the elderly, sort of. OnNovember 15, AARP and PacificSchool of Pharmacy once again col-laborated and invited the communi-ty to come to the campus for a largehealth fair. The members whocame were able to participate invaccinations, be screened for vari-ous health conditions such as cho-lesterol and bone density, as well asbecome further educated onMedicare Part D. There was also a“Brown Bag” station where thosewho brought their medication listscould converse with a pharmacist

and a student about any questionsthey may have. The Pacific alumsand faculty present at the fair wereKen Rapp, Jr., Leland Ibarra, MikePastrick, Rajul Patel, JosephWoelfel, Mark Walberg, andDonald Floriddia. Great work boys!

Lastly, congratulations to Gabeand Leanne Leung who broughtanother child into this world.Ashlee Kiyomi Leung was born onNovember 28. Gabe has been along-standing supporter of theFraternity.

Nu chapter reportedseven newly-initiated brothers, inaddition to continued communityservice with elderly residents at theMansfield Senior Center, and pend-ing elections for officers for the2009 calendar year. They are hop-ing to plan new events for the yearand to continue a few newer tradi-tions such as the Spring WeekendPig Roast. As for Beta Epsilon, working on professional activitieswas the forefront of recent chapteractivity. Currently pledging 32 indi-viduals, they are also proud toannounce they had a brothercrowned as Homecoming King for2008. Boston Graduate chapterpassed along that many brothers inthe Southeast Massachusettsregion (Cape Cod) are interested inand currently working on formingtheir own graduate chapter due totheir inability to be totally active inthe Boston Graduate chapter.

The reports from Province offi-cers were kicked off by SatrapMatthew LaCroix, discussing howProvince I will be looking to expandsoon as new schools of pharmacyare opened in Maine and as St.John’s University in New York iscoming along to assemble interestfor chapters on campus. He alsowas happy to report an upcomingjob opening he accepted at theUniversity of New England inBangor, Maine. Vice SatrapChristopher Nadeau of Mu had lit-tle to report but stressed the impor-tance of booking rooms for GCC assoon as possible. Secretary WillAnctil of Nu, Treasurer AddisonConca of Beta Epsilon, andChaplain Ed Skinner of Mu hadnothing to report but were glad tobe there. Province SupervisorTracy Anderson-Haag reminded allpresent that there was a newExecutive Director, and thus a newlocation of the Central Office; this isimportant for the submission ofrequired forms (nobody wants theirforms to get lost, right?). continue to be grateful for all of thebenefits, friendships, and opportu-nities that Kappa Psi affords useach day. As brothers it is ourresponsibility to blaze a continuouspath of positive growth to ensurethese same opportunities for thefuture. Knowing this, the brothersfrom Province III are in the processof doing just that. Our fall Provincemeeting was hosted by the DeltaLambda chapter at CampbellUniversity in Buies Creek, NorthCarolina, and it was there that eachof our chapters shared the progressthey made this year. Each chapter’sreport was filled with accomplish-ments that exemplified a trueembracement of our four core prin-ciples.

The promotion of our profession, our industry, is crucial for theadvancement of pharmacy. As awhole, Province III is continuing totake our Patient Medical Record(PMR) philanthropy project tohigher levels. One of the intendedoutcomes is to get patients moreinvolved in taking responsibility fortheir health while stressing theimportance of utilizing pharmacists.Sigma chapter has led the way interms of fundraising for the projectwhile the other chapters have beenbranching out into the communityand enrolling patients into the pro-gram.

Although college students oftenget labeled as the binge drinkers ofsociety … throwing back way toomany after the stresses of school,

the brothers of Province III contin-ue to show how they eagerly con-tribute to their community. Just thisyear, Theta has managed to raisemore than $7,000 for charity andparticipate in numerous charitableevents. Iota brothers have alreadyaccumulated more than 1,000 hoursof community service this year andheld three canned food driveswhich reaped a literal truckload ofgoods to be donated to our localfood bank. Sigma, who was the win-ner of the fall 2008 PIII presentationaward, continues to be a leader inthe service realm with their manyservice projects. Beta Xi has alsodelved deep into community ser-vice by doing both some traditionalprojects and getting creative withtheir date-checking fundraiser. Thebrothers at Gamma Xi have alsobeen filing away some servicehours. Delta Kappa is one of ourmost creative chapters and isalways coming up with greatfundraisers like their heart-to-heartball and fashion show. Let us allremember Brother Brie Reynoldsof Delta Lambda, as does her homechapter with their commemorativegolf tournament. Delta Xi, amongtheir many endeavors, still man-aged to pull off a successful GreekOlympics. Our newest chapter,Epsilon Delta, continues to gainmomentum and has big plans forthe spring.

What separates men of greatnessfrom the chaff of society is deter-mined by the degree in which their

lives are devoted to higher idealsthan the status quo. Our ProvinceSupervisor and AssistantSupervisor (Mike Cournoyer andMarvin Smith, respectively) gracedus with their presence at Provinceand delivered a heavy-hitting mes-sage on the importance of embrac-ing our ideals and implementingthem. Mike and Marv are provingto be a great source of encourage-ment for PIII as they often visit ourchapters delivering their chapterdevelopment seminars. Their talkat our Province was nothing shortof that with the take-home messagethat said hold fast to our founda-tion, recruit good brothers, initiatethose with passion and vision andgoals, and work together. Evenwell-off chapters need to be remind-ed of these things.

Fellowship comes easily to thebrothers of Province III. Everyonehad a good time reuniting in BuiesCreek this past October, and wecan’t wait to meet up again at DeltaXi this coming February 21. As withany living system on Earth, if thingsdon’t work well together, the sys-tem will inevitably deteriorate.Province III defies the tendencytowards entropy and is on the upand up with many great things tolook forward to in the future. Withtime, we hope that our PMR projectwill become a nationwide effort.

As a final recap of our fallProvince meeting, we extend a bigthank-you to all those who traveledfrom outside our Province: GrandRitualist Melissa O’Neill not onlymade an appearance but also gaveus a great reminder on the impor-tance of utilizing and keeping theritual alive and well. Several broth-ers from the Gamma Psi chapter inProvince IV graced us with theirpresence including their Regentand Vice Regent. Andrew Crowe ofGeorgia Grad chapter made hisway there too—your attendance ismuch appreciated. William Shealyof Iota spent quite a bit of time thissemester typing out lists of thou-sands of alumni from old directo-ries and scanning in old MASK arti-cles for each chapter and presentedthem at Province. There is muchwork to be done still, but the finalgoal is to make sure each chapterin PIII has a complete and ongoingalumni directory.

Province VIIIGreetings from the brothers of

Province VIII! On October 24–25,we held our biannual conclave inOmaha, Nebraska. Gamma Epsilonbrothers hosted the activities underthe direction of Megan Duell,Branden Nemecek, and JennyNesiba.
