Orlando Spring Break Vacation April 6-9, 2009

Kaley and her mom spent their Spring Break in Orlando. This was Kaley’s first time to both SeaWorld and Universal Studios! It was absolutely freezing and very, very windy. The day that they visited Universal, the temperature dropped into the low 40‘s. With the wind chill it was almost unbearable! The girls endured and had a fun trip in Orlando!

Fall in the Pacific NorthwestOctober 8-14, 2009

Giant Sequoia

Seattle Space Needle

Butchart Gardens

Mt. Rainier

This year Amy and Kristin took their fall vacation out west to the great Sate of Washington! If you remember their trip to Vermont last year, they visited the highest peak in the northeastern U.S. at 6,288 feet! This year they visited Mt. Rainier, standing at 14,411 feet!

Day one started with a trip to the most northwestern point in the United States, Cape Flattery. At the end of the trail Kristin spotted a gray whale! Off to Forks, WA to get in a little

Twilight fix and then a hike in the Hoh Rainforest. They ended their first day watching the sunset at LaPush Beach!

Day two was spent hiking around the Olympic National Park. First a hike at Sol Duc Falls, then Crescent Lake and Marymere Falls! They finished day two hiking Hurricane Ridge.

They ferried from Port Angeles and spent day three & four in Victoria, British Columbia. They saw Butchart Gardens, Hatley Castle and Fort Rodd & Fisgard Lighthouse. They were lucky to have seen humpback whales on both ferry trips to and from Canada!

The last two days were spent in Seattle. They drove 40 minutes east of Seattle to hike Snoqualmie Falls and then drove 2 hours south to hike Mt. Rainier and it SNOWED!
