FROM THE ITALIAN WORD MEANING "LITTLE EARS" ,the small and delicately shaped noodle used in this recipe is a distinctly Puglian type pasta that melds beautifully with the simple and rustic sauce.

• 2 packages (each 255 g) PC Grape Tomatoes, halved lengthwise
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive Oil
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) Salt
• 1 jar (191 mL) PC Black Label Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto
• 1/3 cup (75 mL) grated PC Black Label Hard Ripened Sovrano Cheese
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) Salt
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) freshly ground Black Pepper
• 1 package (500 g) PC Black Label Orecchiette Pasta
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) thinly sliced fresh Basil
OrecchietteWITH ROASTED AND SUNDRIED TOMATOES

• Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Toss together tomatoes, oil and 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt in bowl; spread onto prepared baking sheet. Roast in centre of oven for 25 minutes or until shriveled.
• Meanwhile, combine pesto, cheese, 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt and the pepper in large bowl.
• Bring large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta; stir occa-sionally until water returns to a boil. Cook for 9 to 11 minutes or until tender but firm. Drain, reserving 1 cup (250 mL) of the pasta cooking water. Toss pasta with pesto mixture. Add half of reserved pasta cooking water and toss again. Add more water if necessary to loosen sauce, adding 1/4 cup (50 mL) at a time. Stir in basil.

I have compiled the waterfront sales activity on Lake Simcoe for the first 9 months of 2015 and compared it to the same period in 2014. Generally, the market showed positive signs of steady growth while each area had its own unique characteristics that need to be factored in when assessing price, demand, value and even popularity.
In Georgina the average sale price for 2015 was $710,897 versus $693,135 for 2014. The number of sales was up as well, from 39 sales in 2015 from 34 sales in 2014. Homes were on the market longer in 2015 by 12 more days, from 37 to 49. Georgina has five additional sales although the average price was consistent with 2014 data. The highest selling price in 2015 was $2 Million compared to last year’s high of $1,320,000.
Beaverton however showed a different story with the number of solds up from 2014 by 3 homes (14 in 2015 compared to 11 in 2014), but the average sale price dropping by 7.6% from $556, 536 in 2014 to $513,771 in 2015 and the days on the market also increased from 60 days in 2014 to 71 days in 2015. Beaverton’s average price is down although the median price rose by 23.3%. Due to the small number of actual sales in this lakefront community, the data must be interpreted more accurately once year end has been obtained. Beaverton’s waterfront is mostly direct lakefront and most of the waterfront is on title. Also the waterfront size tends to be larger than Georgina properties.
