If anyone did not make a poster at the last meeting and would like one please send a
youth to this coming meeting to create your poster (all supplies will be provided).
At this point the camporee is well ready to be a success all we need is you! Please promote the event, get excited, show some enthusiasm, because this is a very unique
event that may not happen again for a long time!

We Need a Push! Help Get Us Over the Finish Line!
We have steadily been working towards our Friends of Scouting goal to support our services
to 932 Scouts. At this time, we are only 164 Scouts away from reaching this goal! Please
consider helping us ensure that the services of the Greater St. Louis Area Council can grow to
more scouts. Friends of Scouting helps to fund camperships, flyers and other membership
efforts, record entry and updates, camp maintenance and new facilities and other financial
assistance to Scouts in need.
Please consider becoming a Friend of Scouting. You can give online at STLBSA.ORG/give
A Planned Program is a Successful Program
Don’t miss the June Round Table! This June each unit will
receive a packet including planning tools to use this summer to create the most fabulous
Scouting year for your young people beginning in September. In addition to planning
materials, the Round Table will include a brief workshop to help you unpack and plan your
upcoming year.
You can take a few steps now to make the best use of the Progam Launch next month:
Schedule a Program planning Meeting with your Youth and Adult leadership in August Distribute and share the Troop Resource Survey, similar surveys can be found with a
web search Review the previous year’s expenses and ask the Unit Committee to draft a proposed
budget that can be be adjusted during the Planning meeting in August. Don’t forget to include the Fall Popcorn Sale and Spring Camp Card sale in your revenue plans.
To get an early start click here and review the best practices for planning a year round calendar. Similar steps are successful when planning Cub Scout, Venturing and Exploring programs.
