Our activities in R&D that we carry out since 1987 allow us to commercialize in 1993 the first version of the Electronic Document Management software Gargantua©. It already includes an integrated, powerful and efficient digitization solution that benefits from 10 years of savoir-faire in scanners management.

The fast growth of Gargantua in key account leads us to strengthen our workforce. We set up our R&D unit in Romania.

Our activity is headed towards the creation of automatisms for the telecommunications public administration and the

fabrication of electronic equipment. Quickly we specialize in the development of graphics processors and in the

programming of scanner drivers, further to a deal with La Poste (Post Office) that consists in processing checks.

Designed to digitize lots of paper documents, Gargantua Intelligent Capture is an industrial solution conceived to automate the dematerialization, indexation and ordering process in Gargantua. Combined with OCR technologies and barcode recognition, it is performant and user-friendly. It also allows the integration of digitalized documents coming from mails, fax or copiers.

With its offer of services Gargantua Services, Siatel supports you from start to finish: projects management and carrying out, support services in project ownership (study of what already exists, identification of requirements, preliminary analysis, recommendations, specifications, cartography of flows and processes,...), integration in your information system, change management, formation,...

Designed for the secured management of documents flow and dematerialization of business processes, Gargantua Digital Workflow is an open solution in compliance with BPMN norms, whose profusion of settings allows you to easily implement complex processes, regardless of their business field.

To speed up the deployment of key paperless solutions, Siatel developed turnkey applications to meet the needs in mails, invoices, Human Resources folders paperless management. Taking advantage of Gargantua large range of features, these solutions, made to be easily adapted to any organization, are naturally consistent, adaptable, flexible and scalable.

A modular and integrated software

Gargantua Intelligent Capture, Gargantua Content Management and Gargantua Digital Workflow logic in integration and modularity allows the companies to be provided with a unified, global and consistent solution in order to meet all the needs in digitization, documents electronic management, and business processes dematerialization. The acquisition of the sole Workflow module is of course possible as all the modules are completely independent and autonomous in their respective functioning.

Gargantua contexts of use being so diverse, the ergonomics and navigation of the interface answer relevantly to extremely various cases of application, that only have in common the same level of requirement regarding efficiency, productivity and simplicity of use. The product ergonomics answers to Web navigation practices. It is actually intuitive, and clients find it efficient right from their first uses. It was thought to allow a direct and clear access to the searched information, and to display the tasks to be performed in a comprehensive way.

Accelerating digitization

Be it single or package digitization of paper documents in Gargantua Intelligent Capture, everything is designed to automate recurrent operations. Interfaces are adapted for mass-processing big documents and speed up the digitization process.

Integrating paper and office documents, mails, or faxes

Gargantua Intelligent Capture ne s’arrête pas au papier. Il permet aussi d’intégreris not only limited to paper documents. It also allows a massive integration on copiers of digitalized documents coming from mails or faxes, or dropped in a given folder.

Using bar-codes

Gargantua Intelligent Capture knows how to process packages of miscellaneous documents. Depending on the capacity of the scanner inserter, several documents or folders can be dropped in the tray with bar-codes separators that allow to recognize the type of documents. Then, the automatic classification of the documents in GED can be activated, as well as the launching of a Workflow to process them.

Choosing paperless documents format

We have integrated in Gargantua Intelligent Capture the main image compressors. Thus, the paperless documents can be generated in multiple formats: tiff, jpeg, pdf, multi tiff, png, multi pdf,… Numerous imaging features allow to improve the files (removal of blank versos, clipping, repositioning, straightening,…).

Determining indexation, classification and circulation rules carefully

Gargantua Intelligent Capture allows to design as many forms as necessary to determine the indexation rules to be applied to the various documents. The same logic applies for classification and circulation rules, to automate the integration of these documents in GED as much as possible, and/or to launch the intended and adapted Workflow processes for their processing and circulation.

Enjoying universal compatibility with every scanner and photocopier

Gargantua Intelligent Capture ensures a complete compatibility with all the scanners in the market, ranging from the mobile and movable scanner to the A0 plan scanner, including office and production scanners:

The Twain driver, integrated in the product, allows to manage every type of scanner, with the help of all the configuration features included in this standard protocol.

Gargantua Intelligent Capture also includes in its source code numerous scanner drivers to manage them on the fly and create digitization automatisms.

Managing the flow of information to speed up their processingGargantua Digital Workflow is an answer to the proliferation of information to manage, to their multi-channel scope, and to the number of involved users. Made for automating a whole set of activities, it manages human interactions and data exchanges with your information system, in accordance with Web Services, API and CMIS norms and standards. Moreover, it ensures a full and secured traceability of all your dematerialized processing chains.

Designing processes adapted to your business defining featuresThe graphic tool of Gargantua Digital Workflow flows answers to the BPMN standardized notation for the implementation of flow diagrams. An extensive catalogue of basic, standard and reusable tasks and processes - set up according to your needs - speeds up the implementation of customized processes, on all types of activity: customer relations, quality approach, mails, accounting & finance, logistics, production, commercial, marketing, partner relations,…

Taking advantage of the numerous included features Gargantua Digital Workflow includes a full range of features that favor speed of execution and reduction in the time spent in data flows: timestamping, tasks processing times management, late tasks notifications, mail notifications, SMS texts sending, annotations, multiple features of delivery, document templates library, contract management, signature book, versioning,... Controlling and managing the flow of information from start to finishGargantua Digital Workflow is combined with a powerful management tool that provides live indicators on the Workflow activity. Validation cycles allow to allocate a set of operations to various users. Being immediately implemented, these linear workflows can include as many steps as necessary to validate, correct, read, broadcast, version, and give an opinion on their content. The mail dematerialized management process, designed in

The invoice management process deals with the whole lifecycle of supplier invoices: digitization, automatic storing of the parts, validation, goods for payment, archiving.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

GARGANTUA CONTENT MANAGEMENT IS A SOLID SOLUTION OF CONTENT MANAGEMENT, HIGHLY SECURED AND WEALTHY IN DOCUMENTS HANDLING FEATURES.

A multi-channel solution

Connections with the main messaging services (Outlook, Thunderbird,…) allow to import and send mails and attached documents with a simple drag and drop.

Interfaces with major software suites give immediate and transparent access to Microsoft Office, Open Office,… to read, modify, and version documents.

Network interfaces with business applications through API or Web-Services allow to structure the solution around your information system.

The multiple file formats recognized (more than 150) allow to integrate and handle directly in the tool documents in their native format (texts, images, videos, hand-written memos, folders, mails and attached documents, forms,…) or to convert them in pdf.

Our multi-database approach opens infinite prospects.

Gargantua Content Management is also an array of tools made to automate electronic archiving rules: thorough configuration of archiving deadlines, elimination and/or object displacement depending on a set of conditions.

An extensive range of features

Customized portals allow to design user interfaces and adapt them according to their professions, needs, and uses in GED.

Dynamic plans of classification allow users to get, on the fly, a new arborescent view of their documents, according to the folders/sub-folders of their choices, regardless of the original plan of classification.

Collaborative work tools are integrated to meet the needs of sharing documents and documentary coproductions: workspaces, versioning management, reservation of resources with a locking feature, insertion of post-it and comments, circulation of documents and workspaces management through simplified and turnkey workflow processes (‘validation cycles’).

Individual workspaces are left to the users so everyone can manage their bookmarks, alerts, tasks, and find the latest publications that meet their interests. Moreover, documentary baskets are managed and filled by each user, in preparation for a particular use (for instance: ‘to-do list’, needs to download a set of documents, e-mailing, or creation of standalone media,…).

An integrated OCR solution, owing to a partnership with the software editor Abbyy, allows character recognition on a large range of image files, and in particular tiff, jpeg, png and pdf formats. The file can then be searched by its content (full-text search).

Probationary documents can be archived thanks to digital certificate features (visible or invisible) and insertion of digital or handwritten signatures.

Préfecture de Police de Paris(Prefecture of police of Paris)

The ‘Préfecture de Police de Paris’ counts more than 1,8 million records in Gargantua for the management of Paris resident alien records, totaling over 316 million documents (situation at December 2017). There are also tens of millions of documents including car registration, ID cards, passports and driver’s license documents. It takes around 3-4 seconds to access a record.

Ministère de la Fonction Publique, Gabon(Ministry of Civil Service - Gabon)

The ‘Ministère de la Fonction Publique’, biggest employer in Gabon, entrusts SIATEL with the dematerialization of the Human Resources folders of its 110,000 agents, in addition with the publication of their pay slips in a secure portal. This package, along with the mail paperless management module, allows to provide a complete and always up-to-date HR folder.

Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) Hauts de France (Healthcare regional agency)

The ARS – counting 900 employees across 8 sites – receive about 1,000 mails/day which are completely dematerialized: digitization, distribution in the document trays of multiple services through workflow processes, creation and redaction of answer letters based on templates, validation, electronic signature, tracking, classification and archiving. The same number of emails is treated everyday through more or less the same channels.

Banque de France(Bank of France)

‘Banque de France’ (1,100 users, multi-site environment) chose the software suite Gargantua GED and Workflow to deploy around 700 business and quality processes that allow the structure to follow the bill production almost in real time, with all the security level required for this highly confidential activity.

Ecole Polytechnique

‘Ecole Polytechnique’ implements a VOD system. All the conferences and classes are systematically recorded, automatically indexed by Workflow processes, and published in the Gargantua GED video library. A portal allows the students to view them live or pre-recorded (unicast and multicast mode). A public documentary base allows to get online access to past exam papers, course material and theses. Besides, all the Ecole documentation is managed in secured documentary databases, owing to the military status of the site.

Groupe France Mutuelle

The mutual company decides to dematerialize the incoming mails of its 140,000 members. In order to bring them closer and facilitate their treatment in real time by specialized teams, Gargantua GED is interfaced with the GRC tool of the mutual company through completely paperless Workflow processes.
