WELCA NEWS
At the annual meeting the new Guidebook For
Your Time and Talents was handed out. Each
family will be receiving one. Ladies, this book
outlines opportunities to participate with your time
and talents. All women of United Redeemer
Lutheran Church, by virtue of their membership in
the congregation, are members of WELCA. Check
the WELCA chapter carefully. Offer your time and
talents when and where you can. Good way to
meet and get to know other women of the
congregation. Enjoy working with them in the
ministries of United Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Call me with questions. (732-7297).

SUNDAY FORUM & FELLOWSHIP (SFF )
Here we are, entering the month of February. The
church year is well underway. Some of you might
wonder, “Where has the “forum” part of our
Sunday fellowship been?” It has indeed been
missing. On the other hand, folks have certainly
continued to enjoy the “fellowship” with many
staying after the service and enjoying coffee,
cookies and on some Sundays, cake.
The change in service times has certainly made us
aware of time constraints for presenters. The
committee also recognizes that the need for just
talk and visiting time is important. All that being
said, we are planning to have some “forum” talks in
February.
We’ll open the month with Feb. 3 as a coffee,
cookies and conversation only Sunday.
On 2/10 we will welcome visiting pastor…. from
Liberia. He will preach at the worship services and
will be available at our forum for a short
presentation and questions.
The following 2 Sundays there will be short
presentations given by URLC members. Sunday
2/17 Pastor Wayne Radke and Leah Wichman are
going to give a short overview of the planned
celebration of the 150th birthday of Zumbrota’s very
own Covered Bridge. Paul Rockne will give a
short talk on the Community Trust Fund 2/25.
As you can see the “forum” still exists! We’re
getting it jump started again and promise to bring
interesting topics to you.
As always, coffee and cookies depend on
volunteers for making and serving on Sundays. A
calendar is passed around for sign-up. Please
think about it when it comes your way.
Thank you,
SFF Committee
