Bible Verses Description BIBLICAL TIMELINE – GENESIS TO 70 AD B.C. Year A.M. Year

Genesis 1:1-31 Creation. 4046 1

Genesis 1:17-18 God sets the sun, the moon, and the stars in their orbits at creation and they continue in those orbits

to the present time. He set them in their correct orbits to reflect the fourth day of creation. This was

the beginning of a known cycle of these three orbs of thirteen, nineteen year cycles that total 247

years.

Only one of the thirteen cycles begins on the first day of the week which reflects the creation week in

Genesis 1. Of course this is the cycle that must start the calendar that God uses throughout the bible.

As this timeline shows, it documents the biblical events by using this calendar.

An example is the narrative of the Noachian flood where Noah gives an accounting of the flood year

as having 385 days. This is the maximum length of a Hebrew calendar year and is the key to

establishing the method of keeping track of time. Reference the article “Noah’s Flood and God’s

Calendar.”

This timeline is the factual representation of the bible from creation to the present and is what

establishes 4046 BC as the starting year of creation

Genesis 1:26 In this verse God the Father tells us why He created man. There are two words which explain the

result He wants mankind to achieve; “likeness” and “image.” The word likeness is Strong’s #1823 and

refers to man’s outline or shape, which is a copy of God’s shape. The word image is Strong’s #6754,

and the following explanation is from The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament, “God’s image

obviously does not consist in man’s body which was formed from earthly matter, but in his spiritual,

intellectual and moral likeness to God from whom his animating breath came.”

Matt 5:48 “Therefore you shall be (become) perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

John 15:1-2 “I am the true vine and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not

bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

Genesis 7:1 –

8:18

During the year of the Noachian Flood the Hebrew calendar had 13 months, or moon cycles resulting

in a year length of 385 days. See article “Noah’s Flood and God’s Calendar.”

subject to the death penalty during the 40 years of wandering. (Num. 14:28-38) Only those born in

the wilderness required circumcision. Joshua did not do this by himself. He was instructed to make

knives (plural - not just one), and he had the help of those who were already circumcised.
