We welcome Fr. Loren this weekend while I’m

at Deacon Dixon’s installation in his new assign-

ment at Chappell, Oshkosh and Lisco. I will be

helping my brother in the wheat harvest too! The

hail wiped out most of it , so it will go quickly.

Pray for rain, the crops and pastures need a drink!

Next weekend, Fr. Greg Schmidt will be here to speak on be-

half of Unbound Ministry. Thank you for your support of his

    coming to us.

    Blessings & Peace,

    Fr. Bryan

    The next Worldwide Marriage Encounter

weekend will be August 28-30, 2020 at the Qual-

ity Inn in Ogallala, NE. Worldwide Marriage

Encounter is the largest pro-marriage organiza-

tion in the world and promotes experiences for

couples who want to make their marriage even

better. Due to Covid-19 WWME is now

offering Virtual Marriage Encounters this summer. We’re here

because you have a good marriage and you want a great marriage.

Marriage Encounter is a weekend experience for any couple—

whether you’re running the kids to soccer practice or enjoying

your empty nest. It’s not a retreat or a seminar, and there’s no

circle time or sharing—just you, your spouse, and a better mar-

    riage.

For more information call Pat or Janelle Benson (308) 940-

1105 or visit WWME.org. Deadline for the weekend in Ogallala

    is July 25, 2020.

    *****************************************************

    Please keep in your prayers…

    Alice Berry, St. Luke’s.

    Kenneth Schimonitz, St. Patrick’s.

May They Both Rest in Peace.

  • With Masses starting up again, some of us may

decide it’s too soon, you can continue to send

your weekly contributions to the church office

(417 East 3rd St.) or you can drop them off in the mailbox by

the office door. Thank you for your continued support, as we still

    need to pay our bills.

As we are re-opening here at St. Luke’s and St. Patrick’s in

Paxton. Bishop Hanefeldt has established the following meas-

ures to keep us all safe during this time.

-The Dispensation from Sunday and Holy Day Obligation re-

mains in force. Please only attend at your home parish. If your

parish is not having Mass, please continue to watch it online or on

    TV if unable to attend.

-If you are in the high-risk category we ask that you stay home.

    High risk people include:

    -Those who are elderly

    -People with underlying medical conditions

-Family members who live with elderly or those who are at risk

-People who have access to those at risk in nursing institutions,

    hospitals, assisted living facilities.

-People who have or live with someone with upper respiratory or

    flu like symptoms

-People who have been exposed to COVD-19

-We will require everyone to wear a mask. Parishioners must

provide their own mask. This is for Fr. Bryan’s safety and your

safety. We do have extra masks in the entrance.

-There will be no holy water in the holy water fonts and no hym-

nals or missals in the pews.

-Use hand sanitizer when you enter the church.

-You are only allowed to sit together as a family if you live in the

same household. Families must be able to remain in their pews

throughout the entire Mass, with the exception of Holy Commun-

ion. Children must remain with their parents at all times. Anyone

using the bathroom will do so at their own risk. Continue social

    distancing, use common sense.

-During communion we will have one single line and you must

stay 6 feet apart from anyone not in your household. We will have

tape on the main isle every 6 feet to help you stay spaced apart.

-We will not pass a collection basket or have a children’s collec-

tion. We will have a donation basket in the entrance of the church

you to place your offering before or after Mass.

Just a reminder to all of our Ministry Volunteers

It has come to our attention that some of the Ministry volunteers

are missing their scheduled times. If you have missed the bulletin

with the schedule, you can check online at kccatholics.com or

contact Joan at the office 284-3196, if you are unable to attend

Mass yet and/or prefer not to be put on the monthly schedule.

Fr. Bryan needs to be able to know that he can rely on his Minis-

try volunteers to be there to help him.
