Gregorian Chant Schola.
As we commemorate all of the faithful who have gone
before us, a special Requiem Mass will be offered on
the Feast of All Souls.
The newly formed Men’s Schola will chant the beau-
tiful Propers and Ordinaries of the Mass as well as
choral motets fitting for the Requiem Mass.
Please submit your envelope for your All Souls' Day
intentions by Monday 29 October to be

Bishop’s Annual Appeal progress: As of Septem-

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
The Marian Catechist classes meet monthly
on the last Tuesday of the month with Msgr.
Brovey for those who have finished that
month’s test. Test #1 will be covered on Tuesday
30 October at 7:00pm in the Lower Church.
Sunday mornings with Sr. Margaret: Adult
Education classes with Sr. Margaret are held
at 10:15am in the parish hall. Classes will meet
this Sunday, 28 October, 4 &11 November, 9 De-
cember.
Wednesday Eucharistic Adoration 12:30-8pm:
Please note: Adoration of the Blessed Sacra-
ment will following the 12:05 pm Mass and
end at 6pm on Wednesday, 31 October due
to Halloween and All Saints schedules. There
will be no 7pm Confessions on 31 October.
Adoration will conclude with Night Prayer
and Benediction at 7:50 pm.
Everyone is encouraged to sign up for a Ho-
ly Hour each Wednesday.
Prayerfully consider signing up as a family to
pray together before the Blessed Sacrament.
Many blessings have been given to those who
have made the commitment of a weekly Holy
Hour before Our Lord’s Real Presence in the
Blessed Sacrament. A sign up sheet may be
found near the elevator.
Confessions: offered on Wednesdays
at 12:45pm and 7pm in the upper Cathedral.
There will no longer be 11:15 am Wednesday

Sacrament of Marriage
Either the bride or the groom must be a practicing
Catholic and registered at the Cathedral for at least
twelve months before scheduling a wedding date and
beginning the six month marriage preparation. The
bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly
attending Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obliga-
tion, and use of the envelope system in support of the
parish. The Wedding Policy Booklet may be found on
the Cathedral Website.

tive members. This includes use of the church for Bap-
tisms, Weddings and other Sacramental events, God-
parent/Sponsor letters, and includes parishioner status
in parochial schools.
Active Membership is determined by four things:
Being properly registered in the parish for a suffi-
cient period of time.
Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy
Days.
