Rector’s Corner This is a computer generated image, from the Conrad Schmidt Liturgical Design Company, which shows the “Angel Mural” as they would paint it. You can see the Fra Angelico musical angels, three per panel, which would be painted on canvas and put on the wall of the Cathe-dral, behind the Reredos (the former High Altar). The Conrad Schmidt Company did all of the liturgical design/painting for the Cathedral restoration in the year 2000. They propose to follow, or maintain, the color and decorative scheme which they put in place at that time. I think this photo gives you a very good idea of what the mural will look light, and how it will enhance, once again, the appearance of the Cathedral.

Rev. J. Gerard Schreck, Rector

On this Labor Day week-end, let us take a welcome

rest from our labors - be they in a factory or field, store or office, school or home - and appreciate the time we take with the One who promised that his yoke was easy and

his burden light. Let us pray especially for those whose own burden is difficult:

those who need to work more than one job to support their families, those who do not receive the gratitude and

compensation they deserve for their work, and those who are unemployed or

underemployed.

At the end of the service, they straighten up the kneelers and booklets in the pews. All four Masses are in need of volunteers.
