With eight Academy Award nominations Silver Linings Playbook pulled at the heart strings of viewers through a dramatic comedic representation of a family with mental illnesses After being released from an eight month court-ordered inpatient hospital stay Pat (Bradley Cooper) captures the antics of an individual struggling to conquer bipolar disorder Cooper masters the symptoms the triggers the manic episodes and the erratic behavior as a man coping with his illness and learning to function in daily life again An anonymous MCC student who will be called Mal shared with me

her experiences with hospital stays misdiagnoses and living with bipolar disorder After an anxiety provoked suicide attempt she was diagnosed with bipolar II in her late teens Prior to this diagnosis other doctors had said she suffered from depression and panic disorder but assessing these misdiagnoses were never sufficient As a victim of bipolar Mal notes that the slow crawl to taming this disorder begins with a correct diagnosis Bipolar II disorder is characterized by major depressive episodes and hypomania a series of high energy racing andor fixated thoughts and irritability Often times it is hereditary seen through Patrsquos family history of manic episodes and anxiety disorders Mal traces her disorder through her motherrsquos bloodline though her mother has not been supportive of her treatment As an advocate for mental health awareness she explains this irony in terms of her mother as ldquoa lot of parents just donrsquot want their child to have a disorderrdquo With nationwide headlines linking back to a lack of support in the mental health field Mal explains that she is thankful for her boyfriendrsquos support in getting

Discounts for MCC Students

MCC students can save if they ask Ask about MCC discounts and always carry your Student ID I went to the movies at the Cinema Carousel and forgot my student ID Bamm I had to pay an extra $125 for my ticket Yesterday I went to the 750 Grill and happened to ask if they had a MCC student discount 20 disappeared from my bill after showing my college ID Sometimes it actually pays to be in college So I went around Muskegon asking local businesses if they have MCC college discounts Many businesses either have or had student discounts

Enrollment and property tax revenue are down State funding is now unreliable That has lead to a $12 million dollar deficit at MCC and it does not look like it will improve without changes President Dr Dale Nesbary held a community wide meeting on Feb 22nd to discuss the challenges facing MCC and the process that will be used to develop the plan to overcome them There he talked

MCCrsquos Budget Deficit Forces Scrunityabout how representatives for the administration will be attending every department and unit meetings to discuss possible areas for reducing expenses and increasing revenues Every vacant staff position will now have to be justified before it is filled All non-personnel related costs will be reviewed Both new revenue related services will be considered and older unneeded services will be reevaluated That is why MCC will be surveying and meeting with students and the

community at large to better address its needs and priorities The college is also looking for suggestions on how to increase enrollment of our decreasing number of high school graduates and from the community at large President Nesbary said ldquoI had not entertained a (operational) millage increase before but now it is more seriousrdquo Please either attend one of the local community meetings or attend the next community wide meeting on Wednesday April 3 at 1 pm

March Madness Decends

Itrsquos that time of year again for all college basketball fans mdash The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Menrsquos Division I Basketball Championship or informally known as March Madness Itrsquos a single-elimination tournament held each spring in the United States featuring 68 college basketball teams to determine the national champions of college basketball It begins Tuesday March 19 2013 and will conclude with the championship game on April 8th in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome A total of 68 teams qualify for the tournament Thirty-one of these teams receive an automatic invite to the tournament which is their reward for winning their respective conferences The remaining 37 invites are left in the hands of the Selection Committee a special group appointed by the NCAA In order to qualify there are certain specifics that must be looked at national ranking conference record road record wins versus ranked opponents the way a team finishes the regular season and so on The tournament includes pods and seeds These seeds refer to the placement of a team in one of the four geographical regions (north south east and west) and pods refer to the way of grouping the seeds at particular venues to play against

each other The committee that selects teams for the tournament also decides how teams are seeded to play each other and where they play Each region has between 16 and 18 teams which are assigned a seed number of 1 through 16 (or 18) After the committee assigns these seeds it assigns the top four teams in each region to a venue that is most geographically compatible to those them The tournament has several rounds whoever loses is out of the tournament and whoever wins goes on to the next round respectively The first round consists of four games known as the ldquoFirst Fourrdquo played amongst the eight lowest-seeded teams four of which are ldquoat-largerdquo teams and four automatic qualifiers The second round consists of 64 teams playing in 32 games This means that 16 teams from each geographical region will match-up in 8 games Half of the games will be played on day one of the second round on four courts and the last half will be played the following day on four different courts The game match-up is 1 seed vs 16 seed 2 seed vs 15 seed 3 seed vs 14 seed etc for each region The third round matches 32 teams in 16 games This round decides the teams who will become ldquoThe Sweet Sixteenrdquo - the 16 winners of the round who will advance in

the tournament The fourth round determines the teams who will be known as the ldquoElite Eight which are the 16 teams who advanced from round three They are matched up in 8 games that decide which eight teams will advance in the tournament By this round there are only two teams competing from each of the four regions Round five matches up the four Regional Championship teams to determine which two teams will compete for the NCAA National Championship Trophy These are called the Semi-Finals and are played on the same court that will host the National Championship Game

Itrsquos one of the most anticipated tournaments in the United States for sports fanatics Why Itrsquos a chance for the school and the athletic program to outshine the other programs and a chance to win some very honorable respect Sports fans enjoy competition whether it be in basketball or any other sport As so many schools are chosen throughout the nation fans of March Madness also are filled with a sense of pride

for their school and they connect on that level Basketball fan or not itrsquos pretty cool when something so small like a championship trophy can bring so many people together Thatrsquos why March madness is important It brings people together

Superstitions no matter how strange or silly are familiar to all of us but what do we really know about their origins and reason for existence To have survived the passage of time and the changes within our culture there must be a rationale behind all those little behavioral nuances that whispers in the back of our minds The origins of some superstitions are just as strange as the superstition itself bullSuperstition Spilling Salt bullWhat to Do Throw salt over your LEFT shoulder to create a shield against bad luck bullReason Most sources agree that this particular superstition originated in the expense and luxury associated with salt Inferences can be made as to the superstitious response ranging from negative reinforcement to prevent such carelessness from occurring again by further depleting the limited expensive substance to simply putting the psyche at ease A couple of sites briefly mention that some believe that the superstition originated in the DaVinci painting of The Last Supper where Judasrsquo portrayal is depict as having knocked over a container of salt

Musical group Allstar Weekend did exactly that when recording their new EP Kevinrsquos Place Kevinrsquos Place is a cover EP the band recorded at their friend Kevinrsquos house Cover songs include ldquoDrops of Jupiterrdquo by Train ldquoEnchantedrdquo by Taylor Swift and ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo by Donna Lewis Allstar Weekend released this EP on Valentinersquos to iTunes They wanted to release an EP with covers of songs they enjoy With their new highly anticipated album releasing this coming May Allstar Weekend is on the road to being a bigger band Kicking off the album ldquoDrops Of Jupiterrdquo is a classic song Irsquom sure yoursquove all heard A cover by Train Allstar Weekend puts a unique vibe on the song It starts off with nothing but a piano and beat boxing (yes a weird combination but works well together) until the main chorus and the drums and tambourine kick in A nice upbeat twist on a classic Train song Continuing on the track list is a Bruce Springsteen song ldquoThunder Roadrdquo A little different style (since the song was released in the lsquo70s it has that vibe) but overall Irsquom happy with the song This is you can just pop in and listen to in the background They keep Springsteenrsquos essence of the

original but with a modern upbeat mood with an awesome saxophone solo towards the end Taking the third spot on the EP is Taylor Swiftrsquos ldquoEnchantedrdquo A song starting off with a nice guitar solo it takes a different turn than Swiftrsquos

Letrsquos All Head to ldquoKevinrsquos Placerdquo country tone itrsquos on the slower side but has that upbeat ldquopromrdquo feel to it when the chorus comes in This song will leave you in an ldquoenchanted wonder-struckrdquo The song ldquoPerfect Situationrdquo by Weezer is the fourth song on the EP It has a 70rsquos feel to it again but thatrsquos the magic of Weezer has that feel but with a modern twist I like how upbeat the song is the different instruments used and the natural feel of the recording that makes this an easy going song that I can listen to Rounding off the EP is a Donna Lewis cover ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo Taking off with a slow start then picking up this is my favorite cover from the EP Therersquos that slight difference in singing style than the original and while the song is much shorter Allstar Weekend nailed the upbeat love song everyone knows Kevinrsquos Place is now available to download on iTunes and their new Untitled album under the yet undecided band name will drop this coming May

Walking Dead Survival Instinct

The Walking Dead has been created in the form of a comic a TV series a game based on the comic and now a game based on the series The Walking Dead Survival Instinct takes place while Rick (a major character of the series) is still

in a coma The player will take the role of Daryl aided by his brother Merle as they make their way to Atlanta across Georgiarsquos countryside Both are voice-acted by the original actors As expected Survival Instinct will be a First-Person Shooter with a variety of weapon options and limited resources Players will need to collect fuel food and ammunition to survive Players will meet NPCs along the way some helpful and some not They can then be assigned jobs such as searching for fuel or other resources

Spring Television Premiere 2013

Season and series premieres are high this upcoming March Be on the lookout for the following TV programs Dancing with the StarsSeason 16 returns March 18 on ABC with a two hour premiere The show pairs a number of well-known celebrities with professional ballroom dancers who each week compete by performing one or more choreographed routines that follow the chosen theme for that particular week Judges score the couples and viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes for their favorite dancers either by telephone or online The couple with the lowest combined score provided by the judges and viewers is eliminated from the competition This process continues until there are only two or three couples left when they have

competed for the last time one couple is declared the champion Splash previously named Celebrity Dive - is based on the Dutch series of the same name - it has celebrities perform dives from extreme heights and each week the challenges increase in difficulty You can check it out on Tuesday March 19th at 8pm also on ABC Friday March 8th at 8 pm on CBS Undercover Boss returns The show features the experiences of senior

executives working undercover to investigate how they really work and to identify how they can be improved as well as to reward hard-working employees for doing their jobs Blue Bloods a drama about a multi-generational family of cops in New York returns to CBS March 8 at 10 pm Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic future

Fifteen years earlier an unknown phenomenon disabled electricity on the planet and effectively all devices powered by it People were forced to adapt to a world without electricity

Due to the collapse of government many areas are ruled by warlords and militias The series focuses on

With eight Academy Award nominations Silver Linings Playbook pulled at the heart strings of viewers through a dramatic comedic representation of a family with mental illnesses After being released from an eight month court-ordered inpatient hospital stay Pat (Bradley Cooper) captures the antics of an individual struggling to conquer bipolar disorder Cooper masters the symptoms the triggers the manic episodes and the erratic behavior as a man coping with his illness and learning to function in daily life again An anonymous MCC student who will be called Mal shared with me

her experiences with hospital stays misdiagnoses and living with bipolar disorder After an anxiety provoked suicide attempt she was diagnosed with bipolar II in her late teens Prior to this diagnosis other doctors had said she suffered from depression and panic disorder but assessing these misdiagnoses were never sufficient As a victim of bipolar Mal notes that the slow crawl to taming this disorder begins with a correct diagnosis Bipolar II disorder is characterized by major depressive episodes and hypomania a series of high energy racing andor fixated thoughts and irritability Often times it is hereditary seen through Patrsquos family history of manic episodes and anxiety disorders Mal traces her disorder through her motherrsquos bloodline though her mother has not been supportive of her treatment As an advocate for mental health awareness she explains this irony in terms of her mother as ldquoa lot of parents just donrsquot want their child to have a disorderrdquo With nationwide headlines linking back to a lack of support in the mental health field Mal explains that she is thankful for her boyfriendrsquos support in getting

MCC students can save if they ask Ask about MCC discounts and always carry your Student ID I went to the movies at the Cinema Carousel and forgot my student ID Bamm I had to pay an extra $125 for my ticket Yesterday I went to the 750 Grill and happened to ask if they had a MCC student discount 20 disappeared from my bill after showing my college ID Sometimes it actually pays to be in college So I went around Muskegon asking local businesses if they have MCC college discounts Many businesses either have or had student discounts

March Madness Decends

Itrsquos that time of year again for all college basketball fans mdash The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Menrsquos Division I Basketball Championship or informally known as March Madness Itrsquos a single-elimination tournament held each spring in the United States featuring 68 college basketball teams to determine the national champions of college basketball It begins Tuesday March 19 2013 and will conclude with the championship game on April 8th in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome A total of 68 teams qualify for the tournament Thirty-one of these teams receive an automatic invite to the tournament which is their reward for winning their respective conferences The remaining 37 invites are left in the hands of the Selection Committee a special group appointed by the NCAA In order to qualify there are certain specifics that must be looked at national ranking conference record road record wins versus ranked opponents the way a team finishes the regular season and so on The tournament includes pods and seeds These seeds refer to the placement of a team in one of the four geographical regions (north south east and west) and pods refer to the way of grouping the seeds at particular venues to play against

each other The committee that selects teams for the tournament also decides how teams are seeded to play each other and where they play Each region has between 16 and 18 teams which are assigned a seed number of 1 through 16 (or 18) After the committee assigns these seeds it assigns the top four teams in each region to a venue that is most geographically compatible to those them The tournament has several rounds whoever loses is out of the tournament and whoever wins goes on to the next round respectively The first round consists of four games known as the ldquoFirst Fourrdquo played amongst the eight lowest-seeded teams four of which are ldquoat-largerdquo teams and four automatic qualifiers The second round consists of 64 teams playing in 32 games This means that 16 teams from each geographical region will match-up in 8 games Half of the games will be played on day one of the second round on four courts and the last half will be played the following day on four different courts The game match-up is 1 seed vs 16 seed 2 seed vs 15 seed 3 seed vs 14 seed etc for each region The third round matches 32 teams in 16 games This round decides the teams who will become ldquoThe Sweet Sixteenrdquo - the 16 winners of the round who will advance in

the tournament The fourth round determines the teams who will be known as the ldquoElite Eight which are the 16 teams who advanced from round three They are matched up in 8 games that decide which eight teams will advance in the tournament By this round there are only two teams competing from each of the four regions Round five matches up the four Regional Championship teams to determine which two teams will compete for the NCAA National Championship Trophy These are called the Semi-Finals and are played on the same court that will host the National Championship Game

Itrsquos one of the most anticipated tournaments in the United States for sports fanatics Why Itrsquos a chance for the school and the athletic program to outshine the other programs and a chance to win some very honorable respect Sports fans enjoy competition whether it be in basketball or any other sport As so many schools are chosen throughout the nation fans of March Madness also are filled with a sense of pride

Musical group Allstar Weekend did exactly that when recording their new EP Kevinrsquos Place Kevinrsquos Place is a cover EP the band recorded at their friend Kevinrsquos house Cover songs include ldquoDrops of Jupiterrdquo by Train ldquoEnchantedrdquo by Taylor Swift and ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo by Donna Lewis Allstar Weekend released this EP on Valentinersquos to iTunes They wanted to release an EP with covers of songs they enjoy With their new highly anticipated album releasing this coming May Allstar Weekend is on the road to being a bigger band Kicking off the album ldquoDrops Of Jupiterrdquo is a classic song Irsquom sure yoursquove all heard A cover by Train Allstar Weekend puts a unique vibe on the song It starts off with nothing but a piano and beat boxing (yes a weird combination but works well together) until the main chorus and the drums and tambourine kick in A nice upbeat twist on a classic Train song Continuing on the track list is a Bruce Springsteen song ldquoThunder Roadrdquo A little different style (since the song was released in the lsquo70s it has that vibe) but overall Irsquom happy with the song This is you can just pop in and listen to in the background They keep Springsteenrsquos essence of the

original but with a modern upbeat mood with an awesome saxophone solo towards the end Taking the third spot on the EP is Taylor Swiftrsquos ldquoEnchantedrdquo A song starting off with a nice guitar solo it takes a different turn than Swiftrsquos

Letrsquos All Head to ldquoKevinrsquos Placerdquo country tone itrsquos on the slower side but has that upbeat ldquopromrdquo feel to it when the chorus comes in This song will leave you in an ldquoenchanted wonder-struckrdquo The song ldquoPerfect Situationrdquo by Weezer is the fourth song on the EP It has a 70rsquos feel to it again but thatrsquos the magic of Weezer has that feel but with a modern twist I like how upbeat the song is the different instruments used and the natural feel of the recording that makes this an easy going song that I can listen to Rounding off the EP is a Donna Lewis cover ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo Taking off with a slow start then picking up this is my favorite cover from the EP Therersquos that slight difference in singing style than the original and while the song is much shorter Allstar Weekend nailed the upbeat love song everyone knows Kevinrsquos Place is now available to download on iTunes and their new Untitled album under the yet undecided band name will drop this coming May

MCC students can save if they ask Ask about MCC discounts and always carry your Student ID I went to the movies at the Cinema Carousel and forgot my student ID Bamm I had to pay an extra $125 for my ticket Yesterday I went to the 750 Grill and happened to ask if they had a MCC student discount 20 disappeared from my bill after showing my college ID Sometimes it actually pays to be in college So I went around Muskegon asking local businesses if they have MCC college discounts Many businesses either have or had student discounts

Enrollment and property tax revenue are down State funding is now unreliable That has lead to a $12 million dollar deficit at MCC and it does not look like it will improve without changes President Dr Dale Nesbary held a community wide meeting on Feb 22nd to discuss the challenges facing MCC and the process that will be used to develop the plan to overcome them There he talked

MCCrsquos Budget Deficit Forces Scrunityabout how representatives for the administration will be attending every department and unit meetings to discuss possible areas for reducing expenses and increasing revenues Every vacant staff position will now have to be justified before it is filled All non-personnel related costs will be reviewed Both new revenue related services will be considered and older unneeded services will be reevaluated That is why MCC will be surveying and meeting with students and the

community at large to better address its needs and priorities The college is also looking for suggestions on how to increase enrollment of our decreasing number of high school graduates and from the community at large President Nesbary said ldquoI had not entertained a (operational) millage increase before but now it is more seriousrdquo Please either attend one of the local community meetings or attend the next community wide meeting on Wednesday April 3 at 1 pm

March Madness Decends

Itrsquos that time of year again for all college basketball fans mdash The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Menrsquos Division I Basketball Championship or informally known as March Madness Itrsquos a single-elimination tournament held each spring in the United States featuring 68 college basketball teams to determine the national champions of college basketball It begins Tuesday March 19 2013 and will conclude with the championship game on April 8th in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome A total of 68 teams qualify for the tournament Thirty-one of these teams receive an automatic invite to the tournament which is their reward for winning their respective conferences The remaining 37 invites are left in the hands of the Selection Committee a special group appointed by the NCAA In order to qualify there are certain specifics that must be looked at national ranking conference record road record wins versus ranked opponents the way a team finishes the regular season and so on The tournament includes pods and seeds These seeds refer to the placement of a team in one of the four geographical regions (north south east and west) and pods refer to the way of grouping the seeds at particular venues to play against

each other The committee that selects teams for the tournament also decides how teams are seeded to play each other and where they play Each region has between 16 and 18 teams which are assigned a seed number of 1 through 16 (or 18) After the committee assigns these seeds it assigns the top four teams in each region to a venue that is most geographically compatible to those them The tournament has several rounds whoever loses is out of the tournament and whoever wins goes on to the next round respectively The first round consists of four games known as the ldquoFirst Fourrdquo played amongst the eight lowest-seeded teams four of which are ldquoat-largerdquo teams and four automatic qualifiers The second round consists of 64 teams playing in 32 games This means that 16 teams from each geographical region will match-up in 8 games Half of the games will be played on day one of the second round on four courts and the last half will be played the following day on four different courts The game match-up is 1 seed vs 16 seed 2 seed vs 15 seed 3 seed vs 14 seed etc for each region The third round matches 32 teams in 16 games This round decides the teams who will become ldquoThe Sweet Sixteenrdquo - the 16 winners of the round who will advance in

the tournament The fourth round determines the teams who will be known as the ldquoElite Eight which are the 16 teams who advanced from round three They are matched up in 8 games that decide which eight teams will advance in the tournament By this round there are only two teams competing from each of the four regions Round five matches up the four Regional Championship teams to determine which two teams will compete for the NCAA National Championship Trophy These are called the Semi-Finals and are played on the same court that will host the National Championship Game

Itrsquos one of the most anticipated tournaments in the United States for sports fanatics Why Itrsquos a chance for the school and the athletic program to outshine the other programs and a chance to win some very honorable respect Sports fans enjoy competition whether it be in basketball or any other sport As so many schools are chosen throughout the nation fans of March Madness also are filled with a sense of pride

Musical group Allstar Weekend did exactly that when recording their new EP Kevinrsquos Place Kevinrsquos Place is a cover EP the band recorded at their friend Kevinrsquos house Cover songs include ldquoDrops of Jupiterrdquo by Train ldquoEnchantedrdquo by Taylor Swift and ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo by Donna Lewis Allstar Weekend released this EP on Valentinersquos to iTunes They wanted to release an EP with covers of songs they enjoy With their new highly anticipated album releasing this coming May Allstar Weekend is on the road to being a bigger band Kicking off the album ldquoDrops Of Jupiterrdquo is a classic song Irsquom sure yoursquove all heard A cover by Train Allstar Weekend puts a unique vibe on the song It starts off with nothing but a piano and beat boxing (yes a weird combination but works well together) until the main chorus and the drums and tambourine kick in A nice upbeat twist on a classic Train song Continuing on the track list is a Bruce Springsteen song ldquoThunder Roadrdquo A little different style (since the song was released in the lsquo70s it has that vibe) but overall Irsquom happy with the song This is you can just pop in and listen to in the background They keep Springsteenrsquos essence of the

original but with a modern upbeat mood with an awesome saxophone solo towards the end Taking the third spot on the EP is Taylor Swiftrsquos ldquoEnchantedrdquo A song starting off with a nice guitar solo it takes a different turn than Swiftrsquos

Letrsquos All Head to ldquoKevinrsquos Placerdquo country tone itrsquos on the slower side but has that upbeat ldquopromrdquo feel to it when the chorus comes in This song will leave you in an ldquoenchanted wonder-struckrdquo The song ldquoPerfect Situationrdquo by Weezer is the fourth song on the EP It has a 70rsquos feel to it again but thatrsquos the magic of Weezer has that feel but with a modern twist I like how upbeat the song is the different instruments used and the natural feel of the recording that makes this an easy going song that I can listen to Rounding off the EP is a Donna Lewis cover ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo Taking off with a slow start then picking up this is my favorite cover from the EP Therersquos that slight difference in singing style than the original and while the song is much shorter Allstar Weekend nailed the upbeat love song everyone knows Kevinrsquos Place is now available to download on iTunes and their new Untitled album under the yet undecided band name will drop this coming May

Walking Dead Survival Instinct

The Walking Dead has been created in the form of a comic a TV series a game based on the comic and now a game based on the series The Walking Dead Survival Instinct takes place while Rick (a major character of the series) is still

in a coma The player will take the role of Daryl aided by his brother Merle as they make their way to Atlanta across Georgiarsquos countryside Both are voice-acted by the original actors As expected Survival Instinct will be a First-Person Shooter with a variety of weapon options and limited resources Players will need to collect fuel food and ammunition to survive Players will meet NPCs along the way some helpful and some not They can then be assigned jobs such as searching for fuel or other resources

Spring Television Premiere 2013

Season and series premieres are high this upcoming March Be on the lookout for the following TV programs Dancing with the StarsSeason 16 returns March 18 on ABC with a two hour premiere The show pairs a number of well-known celebrities with professional ballroom dancers who each week compete by performing one or more choreographed routines that follow the chosen theme for that particular week Judges score the couples and viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes for their favorite dancers either by telephone or online The couple with the lowest combined score provided by the judges and viewers is eliminated from the competition This process continues until there are only two or three couples left when they have

Musical group Allstar Weekend did exactly that when recording their new EP Kevinrsquos Place Kevinrsquos Place is a cover EP the band recorded at their friend Kevinrsquos house Cover songs include ldquoDrops of Jupiterrdquo by Train ldquoEnchantedrdquo by Taylor Swift and ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo by Donna Lewis Allstar Weekend released this EP on Valentinersquos to iTunes They wanted to release an EP with covers of songs they enjoy With their new highly anticipated album releasing this coming May Allstar Weekend is on the road to being a bigger band Kicking off the album ldquoDrops Of Jupiterrdquo is a classic song Irsquom sure yoursquove all heard A cover by Train Allstar Weekend puts a unique vibe on the song It starts off with nothing but a piano and beat boxing (yes a weird combination but works well together) until the main chorus and the drums and tambourine kick in A nice upbeat twist on a classic Train song Continuing on the track list is a Bruce Springsteen song ldquoThunder Roadrdquo A little different style (since the song was released in the lsquo70s it has that vibe) but overall Irsquom happy with the song This is you can just pop in and listen to in the background They keep Springsteenrsquos essence of the

Letrsquos All Head to ldquoKevinrsquos Placerdquo country tone itrsquos on the slower side but has that upbeat ldquopromrdquo feel to it when the chorus comes in This song will leave you in an ldquoenchanted wonder-struckrdquo The song ldquoPerfect Situationrdquo by Weezer is the fourth song on the EP It has a 70rsquos feel to it again but thatrsquos the magic of Weezer has that feel but with a modern twist I like how upbeat the song is the different instruments used and the natural feel of the recording that makes this an easy going song that I can listen to Rounding off the EP is a Donna Lewis cover ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo Taking off with a slow start then picking up this is my favorite cover from the EP Therersquos that slight difference in singing style than the original and while the song is much shorter Allstar Weekend nailed the upbeat love song everyone knows Kevinrsquos Place is now available to download on iTunes and their new Untitled album under the yet undecided band name will drop this coming May

The Walking Dead has been created in the form of a comic a TV series a game based on the comic and now a game based on the series The Walking Dead Survival Instinct takes place while Rick (a major character of the series) is still

Spring Television Premiere 2013

The Walking Dead has been created in the form of a comic a TV series a game based on the comic and now a game based on the series The Walking Dead Survival Instinct takes place while Rick (a major character of the series) is still

in a coma The player will take the role of Daryl aided by his brother Merle as they make their way to Atlanta across Georgiarsquos countryside Both are voice-acted by the original actors As expected Survival Instinct will be a First-Person Shooter with a variety of weapon options and limited resources Players will need to collect fuel food and ammunition to survive Players will meet NPCs along the way some helpful and some not They can then be assigned jobs such as searching for fuel or other resources

Season and series premieres are high this upcoming March Be on the lookout for the following TV programs Dancing with the StarsSeason 16 returns March 18 on ABC with a two hour premiere The show pairs a number of well-known celebrities with professional ballroom dancers who each week compete by performing one or more choreographed routines that follow the chosen theme for that particular week Judges score the couples and viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes for their favorite dancers either by telephone or online The couple with the lowest combined score provided by the judges and viewers is eliminated from the competition This process continues until there are only two or three couples left when they have

Musical group Allstar Weekend did exactly that when recording their new EP Kevinrsquos Place Kevinrsquos Place is a cover EP the band recorded at their friend Kevinrsquos house Cover songs include ldquoDrops of Jupiterrdquo by Train ldquoEnchantedrdquo by Taylor Swift and ldquoI Love You Always Foreverrdquo by Donna Lewis Allstar Weekend released this EP on Valentinersquos to iTunes They wanted to release an EP with covers of songs they enjoy With their new highly anticipated album releasing this coming May Allstar Weekend is on the road to being a bigger band Kicking off the album ldquoDrops Of Jupiterrdquo is a classic song Irsquom sure yoursquove all heard A cover by Train Allstar Weekend puts a unique vibe on the song It starts off with nothing but a piano and beat boxing (yes a weird combination but works well together) until the main chorus and the drums and tambourine kick in A nice upbeat twist on a classic Train song Continuing on the track list is a Bruce Springsteen song ldquoThunder Roadrdquo A little different style (since the song was released in the lsquo70s it has that vibe) but overall Irsquom happy with the song This is you can just pop in and listen to in the background They keep Springsteenrsquos essence of the

Spring Television Premiere 2013

Season and series premieres are high this upcoming March Be on the lookout for the following TV programs Dancing with the StarsSeason 16 returns March 18 on ABC with a two hour premiere The show pairs a number of well-known celebrities with professional ballroom dancers who each week compete by performing one or more choreographed routines that follow the chosen theme for that particular week Judges score the couples and viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes for their favorite dancers either by telephone or online The couple with the lowest combined score provided by the judges and viewers is eliminated from the competition This process continues until there are only two or three couples left when they have
