  • The 2ND PEB Ink and Click Campus Journalism Seminar and Contest MECHANICS

    1. Grade school and high school campus journalists are invited to participate in the two-day event.

    2. A maximum of ten students may comprise a school delegation. A school may send a separate delegation each

    for grade school and high school.

    3. Deadline of registration is November 19, 2016.

    4. Registration fee is Php 100 for each participant. Payment shall be forwarded during the registration on Nov. 26,

    2015 (Day 1). This will cover the lecture and contest materials, certificates and stipend for the resource

    speakers/ facititators and judges.

    5. School paper advisers or teacher chaperones are free of charge.

    6. The schedule is as follows:

    7. Each school may field in participants in the following categories:

    News Writing - One participant each for grade school and high school

    Pagsulat ng Balita - One participant each for grade school and high school

    Features Writing (English) - One participant each for grade school and high school

    Pagsulat ng Lathalain - One participant each for grade school and high school

    Editorial Writing (English) - One participant for high school campus journalists only

    Pagsulat ng Editoryal - One participant for high school campus journalists only

    Note: Subject to change

    8. A school may field in the same contestant in two categories (of the same medium) only. Medals shall be given to

    the top 3 winners per category while certificates will be given to all participants, school paper advisers and the

    school.

    9. A trophy shall be given to the highest pointer school to be declared as the over-all champion each for grade

    school and high school.

    10. To determine the over-all champion, points will be assigned per place and category.

    First Place- 10 points

    Second Place- 7 points

    Third Place- 5 points

  • 2016 LSQC ICT Competition Grade School Level November 25, 2016 (Friday)

    8:00 a.m. - 12 nn at the LSQC High School Department

    Contest Rules and Mechanics

    1. The 2016 LSQC ICT Contest is open to all private and public elementary schools.

    2. Participants should be either Grade 5 or 6 students. There will only be one (1) participant for

    each of the following skill-related categories:

    a. Microsoft Excel

    Student participant is expected to provide proper excel formulas and create charts.

    b. Microsoft PowerPoint

    Student participant must be able to demonstrate skills in proper use of animations and

    transitions to effectively tell a story using a PowerPoint presentation and to create a

    kiosk linking to other slides.

    c. Basic Web Designing using Notepad/Notepad ++ (HTML)

    Student participant must be able to create a web page according to global standards.

    3. The contest organizer will provide all necessary files for the contest (references/ photos, and

    other information to be used for the competition).

    4. The contest will run for an hour for each category.

    5. Contestants are strictly prohibited from using the Internet to download information during

    the contest proper.

    6. Participating teams must be at the contest venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled

    time.

    7. The three (3) highest scoring contestants from each category will be declared as winners. In

    case of a tie, a clincher round ensues immediately to determine the winner.

    8. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

    9. There is no registration fee for this contest.

  • 3rd LSQC Interschool Quiz Bee November 25, 2016 (Friday)

    8:00 a.m. 12 nn at the LSQC High School Auditorium

    CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS

    1. The Inter-School Quiz bee is a team competition. Each participating school is entitled to send two

    teams. Each team shall consist of two (2) bonafide students of the participating school: one grade

    5 and one grade 6. The names of all participants must be indicated in the registration form. There

    is no registration fee for this contest.

    2. The questions shall cover the following learning areas:

    Mathematics

    Science

    English

    History and Government

    General Information

    Current Affairs

    Computer

    3. The competition shall consist of three rounds: Easy, Average and Difficult Round. The easy round

    shall have a total of 15 questions equivalent to 1 point per question and should be answered in 5 or

    10 seconds depending on the nature of the question. There will be 10 questions in the average

    round. Each question is equivalent to 3 points and should be answered in 15 or 30 seconds. The

    difficult round will consist of 10 questions which should be answered in 30 or 60 seconds. Each

    question is equivalent to 5 points.

    4. Each question will be flashed on the projector screen and the quiz master will read it twice. The

    quiz master shall announce the time limit for the contestants to answer it. Answers will be written

    on the white board provided for each team.

    5. The scores from the easy, average and difficult rounds will be added. The team with the highest

    score will be procla
