PROCEDURE 1. Any teacher can apply for an award in any category. 2. A teacher can apply for Awards in more than one category. 3. Each application will be made through a separate application form.

A jury of eminent educationists will decide the winners.

RECOGNISING THE EXCELLENCE OF TEACHERSS. Chand group will award teachers who have made an outstanding contribution in teaching which has impacted positively the learning of the students. THE AWARDS WILL BE IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:

*Describe in minimum 500 words the ways in which your work has benefited/impacted positively on the learning of your students. Please remember to link this to the category of the award for which you are applying. e.g. If you are applying for the Award for Innovation (in teaching learning practices), your description must clearly explain the innovative practices you used and the impact these have had on the learning of your students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAl You should have the requisite teaching qualifications.l You should have a minimum of five years of service in a recognized school.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION FORMLetter on your school letterhead from your school Principal/Manager with the following details:l Confirmation of employment.l Date of joining.l Classes and subject/s you have been teaching.l School Registration number.l The letter must be signed and stamped by the principal/manager.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions (the ‘Terms and Conditions’) shall apply to the S.Chand Teaching Excellence Awards’ (TEA)

Event detailed below (the ‘Event’). The ‘Teaching Excellence Awards’ Event process is run and administered independently and

completely by ‘The Progressive Teacher’ (TPT) magazine.

1. The nominations for the Awards will be open till 28 th July, 2017 and the time period can be curtailed or extended at the

discretion of TPT, as deemed necessary.

2. The Event shall be valid in India only.

3. The following shall be entitled to participate in the Event (the ‘Participant’)

All teachers in schools in India, as per the Award segments and criteria provided, subject to the following:

1. Number of years of service shall be at least 5 years in a registered school/institution.

2. The applicant must, preferably, possess the required qualifications for teaching as per government norms. However, the jury

may consider other teachers in cases where extraordinary teaching has been demonstrated.

When you upload your applications to the ‘Teaching Excellence Awards’, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions as

detailed below:

1. The applications for the Awards will be received till 28 th July, 2017 and the period can be curtailed or extended at the discretion

of TPT, as it deems necessary.

2. The Teaching Excellence Awards shall be valid in India only.

3. Any number of teachers from one school are free to apply under any category of Awards.

4. Heads of Institutes/Principals who are active teachers are also eligible to apply. They will need to provide a reference from the

institute/school management.

5. TPT reserves the right to approve or reject any submitted entry without informing the applicant/associated school.

6. Once submitted TPT has the right to use the information submitted through the application online form or hard copy, as it

deems fit, including but not limited to: websites, internet, television programming, radio programming, newspapers, magazines,

press, presentations, brochures, Public Relations and any other means of communication.

7. By providing their e-mail ID, phone number and other details, the applicants give permission to the organisers of the ‘Teaching

Excellence Awards’ to send updates and communications regarding the Event to the applicant. After the Application form

is approved through the selection and jury process, only then the selected applicants will be informed about their further

participation.

8. Any false information submitted in the application form will lead to immediate and permanent disqualification of the Applicant.

9. By Agreeing to the Event Terms and Conditions, the Applicant also automatically agrees to all terms and conditions stated by

the various platforms used for the Programme, including but not limited to: websites, digital platforms, Facebook, Linked In

and YouTube.
