Welcome to TBG Learning

This prospectus tells you about the wide range of courses on offer that will help you take your first steps towards the career of your choice. Here at TBG Learning we are proud of our achievements and the work we do with young people. Each year we support 1000’s of young people to find a job, complete an apprenticeship or move into college We have designed many of our courses to overcome some of the challenges faced by young people today, such as how to get a job without experience and how to get experience without a job? Well we think we have come up with the answer, we have built specially designed vocational classrooms that simulate real life work environments so you get a taste of what it is really like to work in areas such as construction, hair and beauty, retail and hospitality to name just a few. How many young people do you know who can say they have run their own shop, salon or cafe? Well here at TBG Learning we will give you that opportunity. But that’s not all. As well as gaining practical new skills our learners also tell me how much they enjoy their learning with us and that they leave feeling more confident and motivated about their futures. But don’t just take my word for it check out our videos to hear what our learners say. Just scan the box on the left with your smartphone and see what really happens at TBG Learning. If you want to stand out from the crowd then come and join us at TBG Learning. Good Luck

Why learn with us

If you have ever thought that “learning is no longer for me” or“I didn’t really enjoy school”, there are still many benefits in joiningTBG Learning.

Our Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway programme is for 16-19 year olds. Course durations are flexible and depending on your choice and on completion of your induction period, they can last between 10 to 24 weeks.

It’s easy to join and this can be done by using our free phone number 0800 458 5000, texting “upskill” to 78866, or completing an enquiry form at www.tbglearning.com

Many of our past learners comment on how easy it was to make friends here and how they really enjoyed the friendly relaxed atmosphere within the learning centres, but recognised that it’s not like school “as you are treated like young adults” and expected to achieve your goals. Our Tutors practise in the subject that they teach, and are passionate about it.

At TBG Learning, you are our first priority; the outstanding level of support we offer to our learner is recognised through the positive feedback that we receive, and through our recent Ofsted report that states our learners are:

Safe, supported and motivated.

This programme is all about you, and we aim to support you throughout your time here. In fact 78% of our young people attend one of our centres through verbal recommendation, so the numbers speak for themselves.

TBG Learning will support you with qualifications and an introduction to the world of employment and all that you need to know to help you secure your future progression path. All you need to do is join, commit and complete.

We can’t wait to meet you.

“Before I started the Apprenticeship at TBG I was mainly unemployed, as I didn’t like sitting around, I decided to enrol on the Apprenticeship course at my local centre.

“I started my placement as a data entry clerk at River Habitat Estate Agents. In a few short months I had progressed to web administration, handling enquiries & database maintenance. Several months in, I let my first property and since then I have been doing viewings, drawing floor plans and taking photographs.”

Ali Khan – former learner at TBG Learning Hackney

“My experience with TBG Learning, has been the learning curve that I needed to kick-start my working life. With the help of the entire TBG Learning team I find myself more confident and able to be more professional with how I approach my problems in both my working and personal life!

“With that experience I have managed to move up into another job, and the skills I have learnt have helped me through.”

Ashleigh Carberry, former learner at TBG Learning Tower Hamlets

“I have seen a big change in Ashleigh’s attitude towards the working lifestyle. After her training and then being offered further training within the company, I noticed Ashleigh was over the moon with it!

“I have been so proud of Ashleigh throughout her life and watching her excel at something else I was chuffed! Thanks to the people of TBG Learning, her confidence and attitude are spot on. Thank you!”

Lisa Carberry (Ashleigh Carberry‘s mother)

Ofsted grades explained: 1 - Outstanding 2 - Good 3 - Satisfactory 4 - Inadequate

TBG Learning’s provision for equality and diversity to all learners and employers is outstanding.

Learners are motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy their learning in a very safe, informal learning environment, which is recognition of the exceptional work of tutors and learning centre staff, to make learning engaging and fun for all.

Functional Skills?

Functional Skills are practical skills in English, mathematics and ICT that help you in every day settings, including education and training. They will help to increase achievement in all learning, improve employability and provide a sound basis for progression to further study, training or work.
