welcomeWelcome to our year of celebration to mark the 20thanniversary of Temple Bar’s regeneration as Dublin’s Cultural Quarter! Temple Bar is packed full of cultural attractions, quirky things to see and do, loads of unique places to shop and some of the best food and drink in town - for example make your Saturdays even more special by checking out the Temple Bar Food Market in its new locations throughout Temple Bar! We hope you’ll find something in our Spring programme to make you want to visit and come back again with friends and family. Almost all of our events are free of charge so if you can make the time, just leave everything else to us!

This is an exciting year for us as we enter our third decade and we’re really excited about our plans for Meeting House Square (see p8). Inside you can find out all about this as well as our big day on 15th July and all the other treats we have lined up for our opening season. Anois teacht an Earraigh beidh an lá ag dul chun síneadh, is tar éis na Féile Bríde ardóidh mé mo sheol…we’ll be raising our sails in Meeting House Square in a couple of months and things will never be the same again!

NEWSMEETING HOUSE SQUAREHow do you solve the problem of the Irish Weather?

Well try to imagine a unique outdoor space where you can simply turnoff the rain at the flick of a switch. At Temple Bar Cultural Trust we’vebeen imagining just that since 2004 - now we are making it a reality.Early Summer 2011 will see the launch of the new convertible Meeting House Square, where custom-designed canopies will bloom at the firstsign of rain.

Now you and your family will be able to enjoy an amazing array of outdoor entertainment - from movies to music and markets, all year round, while still remaining nice and dry. Your audience experience will never be the same again. For MHSQ the solution is evolution!

While construction is underway on the Square, the Temple Bar FoodMarket has taken over three temporary locations around theneighbourhood, for details turn to p16
