One tool Summit has found especially helpful is the ability to create a company profile. Through this tool, Summit is able to showcase the services it provides, painting a clear picture for a client who may be searching for a potential contractor to perform that work type. Summit credits this type of transparency for improving its overall vetting processes to run more smoothly.

involvement at isn connect In April 2015, Summit’s HSE Director shared the story of Summit’s growth with industry peers at the ISN CONNECT Conference in Dallas, Texas, which had over 2,000 individuals in attendance. Through this networking opportunity, Summit explained how they maximize the marketing tools in ISNetworld to attract more business. Also at ISN Connect, Summit worked with the ISN Team to record a video testimonial discussing the ways the company has continued to expand. This video is viewable on the ISN homepage, further building Summit’s online presence.

Mr. Eldridge and Summit’s sales representatives traveled into the field and met with one potential client at a time. It often took one to two weeks to pre-qualify Summit for a particular client and the process involved manually submitting documents, creating duplicative work. With limited resources allocated to marketing and no structured database to track safety statistics, Summit struggled to grow its client base and streamline its processes internally.

company growth The ability to streamline many of their internal processes has helped Summit grow from six employees in 2009 to 98 in 2014. Since becoming a subscriber in 2009, Summit has also had the opportunity to open a service division. With the assistance of the account management tools available in ISNetworld, Summit has been able to increase the size and scope of the company and decrease the burden associated with transmitting information to its clients. These tools have helped Summit to focus more on providing high-quality products and services and less on clients’ pre-qualification requirements.

Summit has also taken advantage of ISN’s Users Group Meetings (UGMs) and Help Desks (HDs). The UGMs and HDs provide contractors and suppliers with networking opportunities and one-on-one account support which can increase the company’s visibility to existing and potential ISNetworld Hiring Clients.

Toolsbenchmarking performance ISNetworld helps Summit remain aware of where it stacks up against its peers through the metric reports available through its ISNetworld account. These reports show Summit’s Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) on both a quarterly and rolling three-year basis as well as provide a comparison to the industry average TRIR as reported by the BLS. Having this information readily available in the account offers Summit feedback on how the company is performing next to its industry peers and the ability to target areas for improvement more efficiently.
