Event Portfolio

Strong & Co.

Strong & Co. is an exceptional boutique event agency which has been at the forefront of creative innovation in the UK for over 10 years.

Specializing in Experiential, we are sought after by some of world’s

biggest brands and cultural organisations.

We have a uniquely diverse portfolio, because our clients and their needs are diverse. What unites them is the need to create impact by

doing creatively brave work without sacrificing commercials. We work closely with our clients to achieve success, but who are we

and why do some of the world’s biggest names trust us?

Expert Story-tellers.

Depth, detail, character and humour run through all of our events.

This is no stale brand experience, this is a world to become lost within.

“incredible - everything I’d imagined and wanted it to be” Aegis Dentsu 2014

Twitter

2016 - Twitter Live. This interactive B2B event, blended live music, art, AV with live Twitter technology at the heart of each aspect.  Here the

Twitterverse installation forms a backdrop to a performance by Petite Mellor.

Beano Studios

2016 –Beano’s first live immersive event – The Beano Experience. Here kids prepare to climb in the window to Dennis's Bedroom to find the secret HQ, In a

crazy twist, the Beano mirrored the event narrative in the comic. Awesome.

Design Instigators. This about more than just designing experiences. It's about creating

resonance, memories, joy and relationships.

We go harder, push further to get there. This is about co-creating art, art that tells the story that needs to be told.

“MASSIVE MASSIVE THANKS. YOU GUYS ARE SUCH A DREAM!!!!!” – Twitter 2016

Warner Bros

2016 – The Conjuring 2 Live Experience. We partnered with agency 1155 to create an experience that would recreate movie moments live to audiences.

Here we see the Bedroom, full of hidden SFX such as kinetic props and a device to levitate a stooge. Scares were filmed and shared during the event.

Bear Grylls

When Harvey Goldsmith was approached by Bear Grylls to develop a new immersive show – Endeavour, they called us to create the concept. We

developed the design for them to evolve and in 2016 they implemented it.

Film 4 & Channel 4

2007 – The Quarter Club. Guests enjoy the comfort of the space, unaware that 24 hours earlier this had been simply a dilapidated listed building. Strong & Co

had transformed it into a luxury private members club for one night only.

Straight-talkers.

Our communications are open and our budgets are transparent. That’s just the way we do business.

We hate mark-ups. We like getting on with people. We love it when

clients win big.

Simples.

“Thanks for all your efforts to make the party such a success.  The Directors are still receiving emails from clients about what a great time they had so are very pleased.” AHMM 2015

Liverpool Biennial

For the launch of the Liverpool Biennials in 2008 and 2010, we transformed squalid warehouses. We used a combination of found objects and

technology to create a series of installations.

The Guardian

2013 – Guests gather for the Guardian & Observer Xmas party, The Guardian & Observer have been repeat clients since Strong & Co.’s launch in early 2006.

History.

Strong & Co. founder Debs Armstrong is acclaimed as one of the most influential people in the event industry today.

As an installation artist in the 90's she was an early pioneer of

Experiential, going on to create numerous groundbreakers such as Shangri-La and Lost Vagueness.

Her events have impacted on the cultural landscape in the UK as

forerunners to now popular immersive entertainments such as Secret Cinema and Boomtown.

Lost Vagueness

Fat Boy Slim pisses himself laughing on stage with the Can-Can Girls in 2004

Shangri-La

The Wellcome Trust

Methodology

1

Communication is crucial.

First we’ll want to sit down, get to know you and your audiences. We’ll ask about all things, both tangible

to intangible goals.

Methodology 2

Design Development begins first as a collaboration, then we produce CGI’s, hand-drawings and

treatments, refining and budgeting until our client is happy.

Methodology 3

We bring together each and every aspect required and ensure that physical delivery of the design surpasses expectations each and every time.

Methodology 4

Finally, after all the hugs and smiles, a stiff drink and a lie-down, it's evaluation time.

We meet with clients to assess the success of the

event, discussing ROI and future growth.

Finally…

It has been said that it is our understanding of brands creative and commercial needs that makes us unique.

We think it's our passion for producing work that blows the usual, bland

corporate ”I want to pluck out my eyeballs" offer out of the water.

If you’d like to find out more online, you can find case-studies and testimonials on our website.

If you prefer to talk, please feel free to give Debs Armstrong a ring.
