Story Tour Brochure Instructions This assignment is intended to be used after students have completed a short story or a novel. The purpose is for students to promote the story to potential readers by creating a “Story Tour Brochure.” Page 2: This is the outside cover of the brochure. Students will illustrate the cover in the blank space, provide a summary, and draw a small image on the back page. Page 3-4: These pages are the inside of the brochure. They can either be printed or photocopied double-sided, or you can easily glue the pages together. Pass the assignment pages out to your students and tell them to complete all of the fields with as much detail as possible to entice potential readers of the story/novel without revealing too much of the plot. Encourage students to color parts of the brochure to make it more visually appealing. When the assignment is complete, students cut out the outline of the brochure (removing the instructions) and fold the pages down the line in the middle. Staple the pages together and they are done! You should use color on your illustrations. Finally, you need to demonstrate that you have read and understood your book selection in a deep and meaningful way.
